Called my cell just now. I answered and there was silence. Then they hung up.

received a call from someone talking about a settlement with Ocwen Home Loans.  Claimed that the settlement benefits allowed for borrowers to receive principal reduction and/or 2% interest rate for the life of the loan.  He asked if I had already received a modification on my mortgage.  When I stated that I didn't know who he was and that I wasn't going to discuss my personal finances with him, he promptly hung up the phone.  No idea if this was a lender fishing for a refinance or if it was a loan modification company attempting to secure a loan mod for me.  Either way, not interested.  Not wise to trust someone who cold calls you...

Called my cell phone 3 times over a period of a week. I did not answer and they did not leave a message.

Received a call from (714) 733-1229, did not answer, they left no message.  The caller ID was: V20319260300002.

Got 2 calls from this number today, no message left

Received 5 or so calls from this number.  No messages are ever left.  I just blocked the number.  

I received 2 calls today from this number. The first time I heard someone say "mortgage department" and then they were cutoff and just silence. Second call I answered and it was just silence. Blocking the number now.

Incidentally, I *do* have a mortgage with Ocwen. However, I agree with someone else who mentioned not to trust a random person who cold calls you. So I'll do some research and see if there's anything to this and if so I'll go through official channels.

Called, it rang once, they hung up and immediately recalled obviously trying to get past my answering machine. No luck. After my message they hung on , you could hear the dead air and hung up after 5 seconds.  A couple of people have said this is OCWEN mortgage loan servicing but it showed up as unavailable as the caller ID.  It would not surprise me it was OCWEN the absolute worst mortgage servicing outfit I've ever run into, their payment website is horrible, but even as bad as OCWEN  is even they would not identify themselves as "unavailable",....... I don't think. So it's probably a scam.

I have never had an issue with Ocwen, but I have two Ocwen loans at 7%. So, I was delighted when that number called and left a message about interest rate reduction due to the settlement. I had not heard of the settlement prior to that message. I have called them back 5 times over period of a month and can not get them to call me back even though their message says they will recall me within minutes.

Like others have stated, received the call and when I said hello, just dead silences. I also have a loan with Ocwen.

I've noted this number appearing on my phone several times during the day - I never pick it up as I don't answer unknown numbers.  There has never been a message left.  The caller ID notes "Buena Park, CA".  Although I've never picked up the phone, like some of the reports below, I had an Ocwen Loan in the past, but no more.

Got a call from this company, Sarah from Coast to Coast something or other I think.  She talked about a $2B settlement that Ocwen reached and that this allows me to do a home loan modification.  Smelling something fishy, I asked her what the lawsuit would have to do with a home loan modification, and she said the money was being distributed back to Ocwen mortgage holders in the form of interest and principal reduction.  It still smelled fishy, so I asked why Ocwen wouldn't be calling the mortgage holders themselves instead of using some third party lending company, at which point the lady on the other end got caught and she unceremoniously hung up on me.  This is a scam.

called multiple times....never spoke when I answered the first time and didn't leave a message when I let it go to voice mail after initial call.....blocking this number.

I spoke with the Department of Business Oversite, which  keeps tabs on business practices and was informed this number 1-714-733-1229 not legit. There were no identifiers for this number. Also informed me that there has been no settlement with Ocwen. He told me to stay away from these scammers.

Got the same call about Ocwen's "settlement" ...
