I received a call, no message.

Got a call from this number and after research found out it's VPI Insurance. A pet insurance company, they seem to keep calling you after you cancel your policy to attempt to get you to purchase another policy with them. Although when they call they don't leave a message or say anything on the other line, very unprofessional.

Caller from this number (James from VPI Pet Insurance) left a message on my cell phone.  They said that I had started filling out a form for insurance, but didn't complete it, and they asked me to call back for assistance or so they could answer any questions.  I don't recall ever doing anything with pet insurance.  Message seemed innocent enough, so could be a simple wrong number.

It is VPI Pet Insurance...I did start filling out for insurance but didnt finish. They left message asking me to call back for assistance.

I canceled this policy immediately because the coverage was vague and I notified my credit card not to accept the charges.  After I canceled the polices (2 dogs) with them, they charged my credit card anyway and then kept sending me emails that I had contacted Customer Service, gave me a reference number, and said if I didn't contact them within so many hours, they would consider the request canceled.  Every time I responded, I got the exact same email back.  I have written them 8 times now with the same response.  I don't they read their emails at all.

It was VPI insurance trying to get me to purchase insurance for another year.

Called but didn't leave a message.

Caller ID said “Nationwide Pet” (which is our pet insurance company — it bought VPI Pet Insurance in 2008). I answered because I had renewed a policy yesterday and thought it might be a follow-up call. It was a recording saying that there was a “problem” with my “monthly payment” and I should “press 1” to be connected to someone who could resolve the issue.

I knew it was a scam as I pay annually, and I called Nationwide to confirm that there were no problems with my policy.
