Received call. Says wireless caller. No message.

I receive phone calls from this number and they leave me voicemails. But as I listen to my messages, there's nothing but an open line. No message. No voice. No call back number. Nothing. I wonder why I'm getting calls from New York when I don't know anyone that lives there.

i get a recorded call about my Mother from this number. I hang up right away. has to be a bill collector because she lives in a nursing home for 6 years now. She had credit card debt before she went to the nursing home. She's on medicaid because she has no money.. I thought they wrote it off...guess they sell their collections to companies that get commissions for collections.

I do not answer numbers that I do not know

Received call, they didn't leave a message. I called back on a muted line, someone immediately picked up and said thank you for holding, this is "VRG" calling for [my name]. Spooked me, so I hung up.

Blocked the caller from my Google #, now they're calling my cell directly. That means they're investing in some kind of provider of personal data, and not a casual scammer. Could be sophisticated scam, government, or (most likely) collection agency. Odd thing is, I don't know of any delinquent debts that I have outstanding.

They ID themselves as Bison Recovery Group.  Possibly this group:

I wouldn't trust any company that's not registered with the BBB and is being run from a private residence with a cell phone  KMA

I got a phone call from this number asking for CC info & such...is this a scammer?

If you always give your credit card information to strangers who cold call you, then no. I guess it isn't a scam. But we'll talk about the rest of us who know better. It can be anyone on the phone. Caller ID spoofing (faking) is so easy your caller could be any one any where in the world. Never give out personal information on a call you did not make, and only give it to a number you verified as real and correct. (back of card, paper statement, phone book)

I started receiving calls on Dec. 4. I receive 2 call a day, one in the morning and one in late afternoon. There is NEVER anyone on the line. No voice mail, background noise, nothing, It's total silence.  I have decided to just not answer the calls. I don't know who they are or what they want and at this point I don't care. If they were a reputable company someone would be on the phone.

they call everyday wont leave a message.  I called back on another phone and they wouldnt tell me why they called as my number is connected to their logs.  I am not past due on any debt and have a 850 credit score so dont appreciate their phone calls

Fact 1: Debt collectors are known for harassing innocent people by calling outdated numbers.
Fact 2: Debt collectors are known for refusing to listen when they are informed that they have reached a wrong number.
Fact 3: I know these are facts because it has happened to me.

This company is a harassing collection agency from Bison Recovery Group which calls way too much from this #716 256-1642. My advise is to simply block them out and report them to the appropriate law enforcement for continuously calling you.🤔😉
