Keep calling atating its regarding a legal lawsuit against me but will not provide any written documentation to provide me with the details nor have i received anything from the court system stating a lawsuit was against me

I started getting recorded phone calls with my name obviously inserted by a computer. They left a VM on my parents machine also. So far have threatened some type of 10-99 retaliation that will get the IRS after me as well as calling employer and "banking institutions". Today I received the usual voicemail this time threatening to submit me to check systems(I have not written a check in over 5 years) and freezing all of bank accounts if they submit it. Looks like everyone is getting the same stock VM's. This is more than likely a COMMERCIAL or BUSINESS debt collector since they are not obligated to follow FDCP believe it or not. If they are not then they are violating every FDCPA law possible. Either way, based on the voicemails and other posts this is a scam posing as a debt collector to get personal info or to get you to make a payment to some bogus company. I can assure everyone their is no way any legit collection agency can freeze anything because that is an order only a court can issue AFTER a judgement has been after a contract complaint is filed. I have not and will not call them back but have saved the VM just in case I need to submit evidence.

My husband gets theses calls every single day. I had to block the number from my cell but they still keep calling my home. I need to file a report and start saving the messages.

Received a call today from Mr. Jones who works for a debt collector looking for someone as the same name as mine.  When I asked what year does your records show I was born, it was 8 years younger than me.
The sad part is over the last 4 years I have been called by debt collectors nearly 6 dozen times looking for a Jonathan that was born in the same year that Mr. Jones was looking for.
This Jonathan they are looking for owes money to Charlotte NC Hospital.  I have never lived in NC and never seen any type of doctor from NC and no matter how many times I block a number around 6-8 weeks later I get called by another debt collector.
