- mary| 1 replyA harassing message was left by a man who did not identify who he was with. But made it sound like I was in legal trouble because I knew the person he was looking for. I would like to know who this is without having to contact this person.
- Fred replies to marySomeone named Matthew Brooks, says he representing a business that he claimed I owed money to and made threats that if I did not settle today that his client would seek legal action.I asked him who his client was,he said he was not obligated to tell me,I asked what his physical address was he started to get very defensive,I gave him the options of faxing me this information he refused. He tried one last time that if I had a debit card he could run it and the matter would be closed.....Sure it's a scam
- DeborahMr. Mathew Brooks; called with a threatening attitude and wanting to speak to someone else. He made it sound like papers were gonna be served today to appear in court. He was rude and obnoxious and very demanding. The number he called from was: 1-716-362-1047, he refused to give out any information or who the debt collector is. I asked him to put it in writing and he refused any and all request. I googled the number and found complaints on these illegal tactics. I called him back and told him to google his number and read about himself or others calling from this number.. If he refuses to put it in writing or even say what if is in reference to then he needs to take me to court.

- DeborahGoogling: 1-716-362-1047, from a Mr. Mathew Brooks using Mafia style tactic's to harass and refusing to give out any info as to what his private business is all about. Researching further, it linked him with United Recovery systems-A debt collector. He, Mr. Brooks is calling himself a civil Mediator and threatening with litigation etc. Unless, we have something in writing I'm contacting the BBB and filing a complaint and also contacting the FTC. No one has the right to threatening you in anyway. If I stand correctly, he is located in New York. He has to have some sort of legal back ground to be a civil mediator. I want to help him reach his potential in life. You can sue for threats made which is what this person is doing. He sounds like a crime detective and a murder will occur or has happened already.

- ZAMatthew Brooks called & left a threatening message containing the last 4 of my friend's social asking to call him back within 48 hours at 716-256-1819 otherwise he said he would turn over paperwork about a complaint to the county. Very strange...
- Caller: Matthew Brooks
- MRRReceived a call at my place of work from a man saying his name was Matthew Brooks and he was from ARM. He left a phone number of 716.256.1819. When I called him back, he would not give me any information about who he was calling on behalf of. I asked him to provide the name of his "client" and he refused to so. Then I asked for him to provide me with his physical address for ARM. He started to give me a PO Box number, but I said I needed a physical address and he said that "for his own protection" he couldn't do that. He got very defensive when I told him I was reading about him on the internet. At that point I told him to cease and desist calling me and I hung up

- Nick| 4 repliesMaybe if you guys just paid your bills you wouldn't have debt collectors calling you at all. Godbless
- Anton replies to NickWhat business is it of yours how people deal with scam calls from this number, friendo?
- Guise replies to NickGo pound sand, [***]. Try getting a job that doesn't collect money on debts past the SOL, using fake names, bogus threats and illegal tactics to get it. You know-a REAL job, where you have a true physical address-not a PO box in a strip mall or a vacant lot. Sometimes people experience life-changing issues that may prevent them from paying all of their bills on time. Not everyone is a "deadbeat".
- Alfalfa replies to NickThis isn't a discussion as to whether or not we should "Pay our bills"--
This is about consumers' rights when it comes to the collection of debts.
God bless...and---thanks for playing. - Gunnar replies to NickMaybe if someone actually owed a bill to your fraud-shop you'd make one of those long dreamed of commissions!
Don't blame us for you being a minimum wage collector for a JDB. If you worked for a legitimate outfit you'd be able to mail out those required notices of validation. As it is, you're screwed. People have caught on to what you bottom feeders do.
Skeff Ett Liv!
