Must be a collector. He was looking for my nephew. He said his name is Cory Brewer and he is investigating a claim. Didn't leave a company name.

Same thing.  Called for my husband 'investigating a claim.'

I got a call today saying he was cory as well stating was going to do a tax levy and wage garnishment, no company name or anything just a number to call back. Has anyone been served or now who this is....

Sounds like extortion scam to me. There's been a lot of extortion scams involving "tax's", mostly IRS .. though I have seen a few involving state/county scattered.

I got a call about an overdue rogers jewlery bill that i did have.... i started making payments because he said they were going to press charges ... now this is supposed to be the 4th payment and noone is answering the phone... is this a real debt collector.. or was i scamed out of 325 no company was named only his name.
