Who are these people that keep calling and saying they have a packet of legal papers for
you why not just deliever them

They have called me at least once a day for the past week or two saying they are trying to collect debt (which I dont have) and to access my file when I call back, I need to enter my social security number and that this is a very serious legal matter that needs to be handled as soon as possible... first off, it it was so serious I doubt a recording would be calling me, and no one is going to ask you for your social like that. I would like to know how they got my number. It's getting old.

These are scam artists.  One of the names they have used is Steven Scott.  The next time you get a call, report them immediately to the FBI Internet crime division, your local sheriff's office and the Better Business Bureau immediately.  You can make these complaints to these agencies on the Internet. Make sure you get as much information as you can and list the names they have used, their listed numbers, cell phone and 1-800-numbers, in addition to the collection company they "claim" they are from, R and L Capital.  Report them immediately and every time they call.  What they are doing is illegal and subject to crimial charges.  Do not call them back, just report each and every call.

I have recieved numerous calls from this number also. I never answer and the caller is always theatening legal action. I have no clue what it could be. It is a scam, so if you get this call please do not give them any information.

They have called my work line twice, which by the message left is against what I know against Fair Debit-totally a scam! But this number shows up when they leave a voicemessage but not what shows up on caller id.  I just hit delete.

I complained to the BBB NY about them and they said they took my number off their list, but guess what?  Got another call today.  Total scam artists - complaint #2 filed with BBB today.

i need to call them today or they will tell them im being un compliant with there investgation

they call me several times a week.  i dont have my voicemail set up, though, so they can keep it up :)

I have 7 saved messages from this number- threatening me for the same things as above statements..
Steven Scott was the first name & now Mark Jacobs with the same threat of legal action ( for what I can't fathom) I'm glad  GOOGLED THIS NUMBER & SAW THE BLOGS...THANKS FOR BLOGGING.. I'M REPORTING THIS ALSO...R & L CAPITOL DOES NOT EXISIT.....

Got a call from Mark Jacobs R& L Capital.  Recording said that they are going to report me to the sheriff for being uncompliant about not returning phone call.  Stated that when I call give my name SS#.  Who are these people and where in the hell are the calling from????

Recieved message on work number from "Mark Jacobs" of R & L Capital " I must return the call TODAY to his office If I don't he will have to report that I am being uncooperative and noncompliant on this investigation. Very important  that I call him back today. Call was left on work phone - I work in a large hospital at 7:23 PM on a Thursday night.

These people are very rude.  they called and left a message I called back. Turns out they were calling for some person I never heard of and this was left on our work number.  Now that I read these blogs I feel better, since they are harrasing and threatening people.  I hope they get brought down by BBB or FBI.

I just received a call today - at work.  Same message about urgent to call back.  So I did - when I refused to give a phone number - they hung up.  You can hear all kinds of noises in the background - like a call center.

my parents have received 3 calls from a mrs. jackson saying it is a credit card debt from 2008. i have lived at the same address for over 10yrs and just recently moved. i have never received anything from them. this mrs. jackson also volunteerily gave my dad all of the details, my name, amount i owed, and that a payment of 100.00 must be paid by 5pm that day. last i knew it was illeagal to give out details of a debt collection case over the phone to a third parrty...next was the same claim and case number and that it will be filed in my county...i say file it...if it is legitamate then i can certainly defend my "uncompliance" as they say to a judge. funny how this is not the first time i have received similar calls from this r & l capital...if this is a scam then why have no action been taken upon them by the government? frankly it is disturbing and i am truely sick of this!!!

I just received a message which this company left from a Mark Jacobs at my place of emplyment message was left with someone else stating I wasn't being cooperative for a mediation. When I called back some lady answered the phone didn't even say the name of the company and was very rude trying to collect some money on a payday advance which was fraudelent she was very rude and everything she was saying was illegal and they are not allowed to do this to people it is a violation of the FDCPA. They are misrepresenting themselves as a mediation firm when in fact they are just some collection agency who is violating laws all over the place.....someone needs to sue these people.

I have been receiving the same calls.  They are always very generic and state things like...there is an urgent legal matter in  "YOUR name", "YOUR social security number"...so on and so on.  Never do they state WHO they are calling for.  The best thing anyone can do who is receiving calls from this so called Debt Collector is file a complaint with the BBB.  Its super easy and only took me a few minutes to do.  If that doesn't work there is more government agencies that can get involved if need be.  Even if you do owe a debt, they are going about it the wrong way.  No one should be harassed the way this company seems to harass people.  The more complaints to the right government agencies will help put a stop to this kind of behavior.  Start with the Better Business Bureau and go from there.  When you look this company up on the BBB website they have had 44 complaints about them in the last 12 months alone.

Very rude people stating that if I did not call them make that would file that I have been non compliant and report to the authorities. These people should not be able to get away with leaving messages like this at your work place.

Yet again another call to my parents...This time it was Mark Jacobs saying this was the LAST day to contact him or legal action will be taken. l am sick of this...How many reports need to be filed before anyone does anything about this??? TOTAL SCAM!!!

Mark jacobs has been calling me leaving messages. I have no idea what this about and he never says who he is calling for. I am glad I came across this blog. I am reporting him today!

I have been receiving messages on my cell phone from this number for awhile, they say they are from R&R Capital and they are going to take legal action against me, however they never say for what, just that I should call this number before 6:00pm.  Mark Jacobs and Richard Robin are the names that they give.  I getting fed up with the calls and their threats.  I feel that I'm being harassed by some type of phone scam and I would like for it to stop.  I belief legal action should be brought againt these people for harassment or misrepresention or for what ever will stop the calls.
