CallerID identifies it as a cellular call. A female recorded voice left a vaguely threatening message about a federal magistrate. I blocked the number on my phone from future calls

Got the same call and was a Indian guy who was rude and didn't know anything.  said I should get a lawyer

message recorded on answering machine, woman's voice, beginning incomplete, quite threatening, about criminal charges and magistrate.

Scam call intended to frighten you into calling, if you call they will attempt to convince you to send money to prevent an action against you, such as arrest by a law enforcement agency.  Whether or not you have any legal action against you will be wholly unrelated to these people as they are scam artists and their intent is to steal from you by means of fraud and deception.

They are impersonating a Federal Agency (which is a Federal Crime), and attempting to scam responders.

Any state or federal agency or court action, civil or criminal, is provided in writing via certified mail and/or via serve process in person.

Have her name as Christi something. Recording saying possible arrest, IRS, etc. The IRS will never call you. This is how I know that it's a scam. Called twice, wanting me to call back. I did not, of coarse.

Called second time today. (I missed yesterday's call.) Blocking this number.

Threatening message stating criminal actions and arrest by federal sherriff if I don't call back immediately. I register every single one of these threatening calls with the FCC then get a polite email back in a few weeks saying thanks. Nothing is being done about this. It is an invasion of our privacy, use of our private property to intimidate and I am sick of it.

Same message as others, bogus federal crime, I did as Slam-the-Scam recommended above and reported to the FTC.
