These guys called me 3 times in a 5 minute period claiming I owed them money and needed to pay up. The guy said his name was James and he got really pushy when I told him not to call me. These guys aren't licensed to collect debts in my state. I also contacted Cashnet and they said they've been getting a lot of calls about these guys and they aren't working on behalf of them to collect any debts and said not to give these guys a dime.

they keep calling me that I owe them money from cash net.they passed a law that if you owe money on cash advance they can't collect

These people's called me today to tell me I have a warrant and that they can help me if I paid off
"My debt" of 835 dollars.when I told them I did not know what they were talking about they informed me that I had a "valid debt that had been researched to be correct"and that unless it was paid today
A subpoena was going to be issued for me at my place of work.Be aware this is a scam!
Hang up on these criminals.

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.

Got a call telling me that they had my personal bank information, drivers liscense information and other personal information and that I needed  to contact them for "representation".....I hung up at that point.

These people left me a vm today saying that they had some of my bank statements, reports, and license on his desk and asked me to submit a " formal letter of intent".  Sounded like a scam to me.  After reading what I have now read on here, I see it is a scam!  Thanks.

Some very serious sounding (ridiculous voice) told me that papers have come accross his desk about me(of course the  paper is the one that has the practiced BS he is reading from). I called the number back and told him that I had a law degree and what he was doing was illegal.  

He hasn't called back.
