I get calls from this number all day EVERY day threatening me - leaving case numbers - threatening litigation. How do I get them to stop?  I can't block them - but I have it sent straight to VM but then they leave messages?

Not only do they call and keep leaving messages intended for my  brother-in-law, but today one fella left an insulting voice mail on my phone after I hung up on him.  I was so angry I called him back.  The automated answering service claims the company is called NCW.  

The mysterious "Mr. Davis" I spoke to (if that is his name), spouted a bunch of pretentious words and told me he could remove my number from the call list, but it would take 72 hours.  Basically, a very condescending guy using big words to impress.  (Didn't impress me, as I teach English).

The message he left on my machine said, "You'll be an idiot all your life."  When I quoted this back to him on the phone, he replied,"That's correct."  I proceeded to call him an [***].  His educated reply, "So is your mother."

Very professional.

Similar story here...First NCW leaves an 877 # for me to call them back on, and after an exhausting battle with them this evening...THEY call my cell # back, leaving no message this time, with caller ID showing an unpublished Buffaly ,NY  # (716-748-7252)...after researching AND notifying the police, I see that it is the same company/ scam.
Helpful Hint:  Don't ask them for their address to verify their legitimacy...you will get the hang up.  Between my husband and I, we probablly got at least 5-6 hang-up's when we asked for a POB address for them.  The best line they had was to tell us was, "I don't like you."  We are still lauging at that one.

I have been recvg messages to my home # x2 weeks, from a woman identifying herself as "Sr. Investigator" looking for a "James C.".  This evening I called the # to attempt to notify her that she was calling the wrong # and to request that she stop her annoying calls.  She claimed that she could not look up the case that I was referring to without providing her with my phone #.   After much arguing back and forth, I began to realize that I was dealing with a possible scam.  I explained that I was not comfortable providing her with my information--the info that she obviously already had.  I was hung up on.  I did immediately call back requesting to talk to someone other than the "Sr. Investigator".  The man that I spoke to said, again, that he needed my hm # to look up my info.  When I refused, he said, "I see that you are calling from (xxx)xxx-xxxx.  Is this you hm #?" (you have got to be kidding with me!)  When I inquired what kind of business "NCW" was, he stumbled around trying to avoid answering my question...very vague and non-commiting to any good explaination.  He inquired if I was calling from California...again, if you have my caller ID #, you will see that I am not calling from Cali.  After last ditch effort, I did give my hm #, and he said that he would stop the calls.  
Please, please, be careful, all you who are recvg these calls!

This number has been calling my house for nearly 2 months now leaving a message that "Norma Bates" needs to return their call to the 800 number they provide. I have no idea who they are or what they are about, but I don't return calls to computer messages leaving 800 numbers asking that I call back "concerning an important matter." How can we get this nonsense stopped other than cancelling our phone service?

same story as the others. so today on my hour long comute to and from work i decided that i would call them. 40 or 50 phone calls later i was home but they were very angry that i would not stop calling. it was the same 3 or 4 people that answered the calls and i plan on doing the same til they quit calling me. simply let them know that you have lots of minutes and 2 can play at this game. Warning: be prepared to be hung up on ALOT.

Instead of calling the 800 # back call the 716 #.

this so called nco has been calling all year on my cell phone.  i have never replied to them because of the mysterious message that they leave.  something to do with the grave importance of me call them back to see about my case.  although they do not ask for a specific person when they call. i did look their number up and it does come from a land line phone out of buffalo new york

Same issues as the others here have reported. This has been going on for 6 weeks now, with multiple calls per day, all leaving the same annoying message. I am reporting them to the FCC.

Want them to stop callin me and my family and my wife has talked and filed a complaint with the attorney general in. New york

Please removeour phone number from your list as we do not know you or your company.  Think they are associated with some kind of alien aircraft trying to find people home to abduct them into their space craft and use their DNA for all types of ungodly research on the human race.

Wow this is crazy NCW called my phone and my sister answered it and they her about everythning that they were suppose to be calling about which i have no clue what they are talking about .... The rep also said that my paper work is on the DA desk as they spoke. First of all my sister told the lady that she i wasnt there and she just kelp talking as if she was lying. The people need to stop. I have block tyhe number know lets see how many othe number sthey will call from. ..... My sister slos told the lady that she was beiong very rude and she doesnt have to use that tone of voice and she stated to my sister .. well since im being rude tell your sister that she os going to jail ...... OMG

any company threatening you, using vulgar language, refusing to give you their address, is violating the law.   report them and they will be shut down..

Got off the phone with them and they called us right back harrasing.

I have had repeated calls before like this.  If you dont give them your phone # and tell them it is a wrong # they wont know to stop calling.  So give them your number.... Dont make it more difficult than it has to be.  Most of the time its an automated system calling so do you really have to be so rude to the rep on the phone?  You catch more bees with honey :)

You bet I want them to stop!!!  I just don't answer the phone but they call EVERY DAY ANYWAY!

have done that they still call daily rude and threatens to put us in jail. have reported them to NY State Attorney Generals office. Also told them that if they continue calling they will be slapped with a harassment suit. They call literally every five minutes threatening me and my family.

only problem with that is that we give them the number, although we shouldn't have to, and they still call four to five times a day. they are just plain rude. No matter how many times you tell them to stop calling they won't do it. We also asked them where this supposed letter they sent us in the mail was and they hung up on us.

hahaha that is great. I actually call them back too at the 716 number that shows on the caller id never their 800# anymore. today i called them back after they called finally rang into some guy with a bad attitude asked him to stop calling here he said "no" and hung up. So i called back again went right to a VM box that just happened to be full. ten minutes later they called me back and asked me to call their 800# again. so i again called the number that they called from told the guy who answered (sounded like same guy from before) to not call here again he laughed and said "no, i think i'll keep bugging you like you are me" and hung up. so again i called back right to vm.

they want to spend the day harassing me, well two can play that game easily.

I had filed for bankrupcy in August 2010, attended my 341 creditors meeting in Sept 2010. All creditors recieve a notice pertaining to this meeting, they do have the option to show. In my case no creditors showed. I put down a personal reference in 2008 for a loan. My reference recently recieved several rude/ harrasing phone calls/ messages. She called back and asked some questions.( his name, phone number, ect.) Then he asked her if she was involved, like some criminal. A Mr. Carlile indirectly threatned me telling her, he was going to my house and arrest me and slap a law suit on me. I called him at the phone number given to me. (716) 748-7252 ext 102. I told him that indirect threats to myself and my reference were illegal and tried to give him my attorneys information. I did tell him that if this happens again I will take them to court. From what I understand you can not give out personal information pertaining to someones past financial situation. The company that he represents is on my bankrupcy. I have contacted my attorney and other attorney to ask questions of how to deal with this situation. Plese respond if you have any information that could help me!  For all of you that are having the same problem know this is illegal!
