I was called and told that this company had been serching for me for 6 years! I moved to AZ 7 years ago and left forwarding addresses evrywhere and no other company had trouble finding me! North Star Location Services claims an outstanding debt put on my TRW as a charge off 6 years ago for a small amount was now with acrued interest in the amount of $9000.00 dollars! I have declined to pay this company as it seemed fraudulent and excessive as well as agressive in their tactics.....

u need to pay ur debts man - give ur real info and call them back to discuss how to pay up and own up to ur repsonabilities -

It's a North Star collection agency. if you owe a debt thats probably why they are calling you. Either pay it or don't, but don't complain about the calls.

They are overly agressive and I'am going to report them to my local police for threatening phone calls. They are looking for my ex husband, harrassing me, which is ridiculous. I suggest everyone else do the same, if they are being harassed.

Check your states' statute of limitations on a company's ability to sue you for a past debt.  Texas is 4 years.  After that period has passed that debt cannot be collected.  Also, generally, the bad debt remains on your credit report for seven years, then it falls away.  Do not answer calls from these collectors because you can inadvertently restart the statue of limitations.  This is why they are so aggresive...they want you say something along the lines of "ok, I'll pay you when I have the money" or even something as simple as "ok".  Once you say that, the statute of limitations restarts and they can sue you for the debt.  Just check your caller ID...if it's a foreign area code, just let it go to voicemail.  It's very easy to ignore a phone call.

Caller ID says Northstar Locat, called six times in succession this AM. Never heard from them before so I suspect they are looking for an in-law. Not in the mood to duel with them today. When I do pick up it is for the in-law. They then promise to not call again. When I say I am on the do not call list they tell me the in-law gave them this number. Like I said, it's not worth the effort to duel with them.

Receiving harassing calls from this number, identify themselves as NorthStar and ask for various names of people I have never heard of.

LOL scammers. 1st folks.. if a debt is older that 7 years they can’t collect, or even sue you.. empty threats. 2nd the IRS sends you a registered letter for money owed, they don’t call threatening you... they can seize your accounts.. then you will be calling them.. ROFLOL 😂
