- KILLER PETE| 2 repliesI GOT A CALL FROM THIS NO. ON MY CELL PHONE AND MISSED IT. I RETURNED THE CALL ON MY LAND LINE AND GOT A VOICE PROMPT ASKING ME TO HOLD AND I DID. THERE WAS NO GREETING OR ANY INFORMATION ABOUT WHO THEY ARE! WHEN THE MALE OPERATOR GOT ON HE ASKED ME "CAN I HELP YOU"? I TOLD HIM NO! I ASKED WHO THEY WERE AND WHY THEY WERE CALLING MY CELL PHONE. HE REPLIED HE NEEDED MY CELL PHONE NUMBER TO ANSWER MY QUESTIONS. I THEN ASKED WHY WOULD THEY BE CALLING SOMEONE AT ALL WITHOUT SOME SORT OF INTRODUCTION AND HE REPLIED IT IS A PERSONAL MATTER. MY REPLY WAS, "IF YOU CALLED MY CELL BEFORE AND IT'S IMPORTANT, YOU'LL CALL AGAIN". I'M ON THE NATIONAL "DO NOT CALL" LIST AND THEY STILL GOT THROUGH.
- Caller: NO REMOTE IDEA!
- HRAlthough I am registered on the Do Not Call list, I still receive several calls on my cell phone from this number. Each time the person (who identifies himself as Jim Taylor of Apex Asset Management) says that I need to call him back at an 800 number or at this number in order to settle a personal business debt (I have no debts). Called them back today - got a hold of the rude woman most of you speak of and got nowhere with her (as far as telling her not to call back ever again). We'll see what happens.... Hopefully they'll stop calling, or I'm prepared to go to the authorities about this.

- imuRec'd call on my cel. Caller ID stated 717-519-1770. Left a message that said please call Amber at 888-592-2144. No indentification of business, etc.
- miffed| 1 replyThey are a bogus company misrepresenting themselves. I googled them and got many listings of complaints. If you call 888-592-2144, you get the same person on the line. I blocked my number *67 when I called back to tell the snotty woman that I was looking at a whole page of people complaining about them. She said the calls would continue. I told her they couldn`t because I specially blocked their number by dilaing *60 then folllowing the prompts to disallow that number from getting through. She hung up.
p.s. also use the *60 to block the 888-592-2144 number- Caller: apex management company

HOW CAN I STOP THIS ANNOYING [***]?- Caller: Apex Asset Management
- earl replies to mommom| 3 repliesIt is a collection agency. I suggest you check your credit report. They have erroneously reported an alleged uncollected debt which appears on my credit report. I have written to APEX demanding documentary proof of a valid debt. They refuse to reply and will not remove the adverse report from my credit report. This will cost me thousands of $$$ as a result of at least 0.5% higher interest rates on loans. I intend to report APEX to government regulatory agencies. Hopefully the government will sanction APEX.
- apexsuksthese are definitely clloectors I know because I fell for them ONCE! They do bank collections of all sorts,Bank acounts from 5 years ago! repossesions, and stuff like that. so screw them!
- Call type: Debt collector
- MegI received a call from these people a while back. "Jim Taylor" left a voicemail as others have said. I called them back and spoke to a surprisingly polite guy. Told them I wasn't who they were looking for as I don't have any debts. He verified my cell # (didn't ask for any other info... not that I would have given it) and said they wouldn't be calling again. They didn't for a while so I figured they honestly had the wrong number, but recently I got another voicemail from good ol' Jim. This is fishy. I don't really know how to proceed. If I demand written proof I'll have to give them my address. If I send them a certified letter telling them to stop, they'll have my address. It scares me that they can mess up my credit though, so I'm going to have to do something. All of this crap should be illegal and the people behind it sentenced to death.

- Debbie replies to Christian McLaughlin - WLRI 93FM| 4 repliesI work for a doctor and we use APEX to do our outstanding debts. When patients have ignored me for 3 or 4 bills their accounts are sent to APEX after a note is sent to the patient stating they are going to collections in 15 days. We have only had one complaint by a patient regarding their approach. My feeling is if these people are in collections, it's because they have stiffed someone money that is due them and being courteous to them on the phone is not going to collect any money from them.
- Teri replies to earlThey have 30 days to send you something in the mail validating the debt they are claiming. If they don't or can't validate the debt, contact all three credit reporting agencies and they will remove it from your credit report. It shouldn't cost you anymore than the stamp and envelope and some time.
