I had the same number call, it's National Grid

several repeat calls from this number within an hour. It is Natl Grid collections. They even call when an account has been paid in full. Possibly to verify your phone number.

Its def. National Grid, but not necessarily collections. I just got a call from this number confirming an appointment (which I didn't make... hmm)

I also got a call from this number. National Grid confirming an appointment I did not make. I am a National Grid customer but they do not have my cellphone number on my account.

I don't understand.Why is it so important for them
to know your phone number? Tell them you have no phone
and they freak out.

i also just received a call from them - saying they're Nat'l Grid and they want to change the gas meter.  i only rent i do not own.  i said shouldn't you be calling the land lord?  they told me to have the land lord call them.
i started to say i only have gas for heat/hot water...
suddenly she starts saying 'hello? hello?  i can't hear you..."

yes, hmmm...

National Grid has been calling me for a long time. I told them I don't even have a gas meter and they said they would stop calling but they haven't.

Same thing here - 718-403-6900 called on my cell and said to either hold on the line (which I did during which time the same message repeated 4 times) or to do to www.2.nationalgrid.us.com.  And guess what - that web site is non-existent.  The reason for the call was to change out a gas meter.

BTW - I bet most people on this list are from MA - we see 718 and pick it up before we realize the area code is not 781.

Yes, it's national grid. I called the customer service number on my bill (which is different) to verify, and they did have it on record there that they wanted an appointment to change the gas meter. They said they're just doing all the houses in the area.

Just received a call from this number. I picked up and said hello numerous times, nobody said anything but they didn't hang up. I'm a NY resident not MA and my area code is 718 not 781.

Received a voice mail on my googlevoice #. No specific msg, looks like an automated msg. I dont have any account with National Grid, not sure why they called me though!

Received a two minute long message of distortion from this number.

National Grid calls EVERY day, sometimes more than once. When I set up an appt for them to come to change our meter (the reason for the call) they NEVER showed and I had waited at home ALL day. Now they just continue to call and call. I would like this to stop... PLEASE block this number from calling if possible. Thank you!

I live in Chicago and i get calls from them all the time about changing my gas meter. It started a few years ago when i still lived with my mother and now i rent...they have no reason to call me and i have no clue why they would have my cell number.

They have called me non-stop since I moved. I shut down my bill with them and didn't need new service (included in my rent) and they are harrassing me now. I paid my bill, wtf? I have 35 calls from them in less then 36 hours. I just tried calling them back and the wait time is 25 minutes. Yeah, I'm going to stay on the phone for that long, on my cell no less, and wait for them so I can tell them for the 20th time to stop bothering me.

It was national grid calling me...but I don't even have an account with them.  They were looking for my roommate.

They called and left me a voice mail, asking them to call on a separate line and ask for "Mr. Flynn"  I called back and they wanted all of my information- by the way it was a woman who answered and not "Mr. Flynn" When I finally interrupted her line of questioning.... to ask what this was in regards to, she said changing our meters. I said to please kindly call our landlord- as I didn't have access. When she asked ME  to call them on her behalf- I laughed at her- and said- "if you got my phone number you can get his." She stuttered a bit and then said thank you- and hung up.

National Grid wants to replace old gas meters.  "Mr Flynn" is the code they use for this type of call.

Apparently was national grid-- left a message about home heating financial assistance. I live in Mass. and have never had problems paying their bills so I'm sure this went out to all customers.

I just went on to their site and removed my phone number. You don't need to have one listed with our account.
