Keep getting call from this number.  Caller ID says Out of Area.  I don't answer these calls.  Time to get rid of land line?

Received call 2/10/16 @ 9 AM EST. Evidently robo call as no voice on other end. (I don't vocally answer unless I hear background sounds). Received call 2/11/16 @ 8 AM EST. Same situation. Blocking caller.
Best way to run unwanted vocal callers off is to ask "if they are calling about the dog you have for sale". Works like a charm for me.

Called just before 3 today on our land line. Left no message, but it sounded like someone was on the line after the answering machine picked up.

Call came in today at 10:30 AM. I usually don't pick up numbers I don't know but I felt grumpy today. When I answered,, I said "YES? Are you calling about my cat? He is throwing up again. Can you help me?"  Surprise! Nobody said anything but I did hear a click. Still feeling grumpy because my cat is throwing up today, I called back and got the strangest accented  voicemail  so I said, "Really nice of you to hang up on me when I needed your help with what to do with all this vomit. Don't bother to call back. You are blocked." I felt less grumpy after that and blocked the number. Then I went to clean up after the cat.
