- JimH| 5 repliesAnother bunch of frauds, scammer telemarketers using a phony number attributed to telemarketers. These people call so frequently that they need to be reported, the operation shut down and all involved locked up. The number could be another phony computer-generated one or a tie-line, all of which should be outlawed. This is another example of why everyone must PLEASE write their elected reps in DC to demand strengthened DNC laws with severe dollar penalties and prison sentences. The strengthened law must include the requirement that ALL businesses and individuals must be correctly identified on Caller Id, no use of computer-generated phony numbers or tie-lines, no repeated calls, and require them to leave a message. There is no such area code 723 currently in use. We need call control, not gun control!

- fed uplet phone ring a few times, no message, another unwanted sickening solicitor no doubt.... My answering machine used to say "Not home, solicitors will be shot on site" ):(
- Nicole CzarneckiThey called once and left no message.
- Hey Mom!I let the phone ring and roll over to voicemail. When the message had played through, I could hear the background noise coming from the other end. It was the distinct noise produced by an office/call center. It seemed they were waiting to see if I would answer the phone while they stalled. After a minute or so, they finally hung up without leaving a real message. Weasels.

- Kit Wimer| 1 replyCalled me at 10:41 & 10:43 PM. Caller ID says, 'Unavailable'. I don't recognize a number, I don't answer! So I Google it, call it; some guy answers and I ask him why does he keep calling my number. He denied it and I told him not to call my number again. I also have caller ID on my television and the number showing on my tv screen is altogether different than on the phone. Hmmm...on the tv ID, it had a prefix of 9 something. They left no voicemail either. Too weird. I'm reporting the number then my next step is to contact elected state representative. Enough is enough!!!
- William replies to Kit WimerThis is why you never call back numbers - before verifying them - because the number could be spoofed by a scammer.
How would you like it if you got calls from people angry that your number shows up in their Caller ID displays? - PJ replies to JimH| 4 repliesI received one of these calls in reference to Hebrew study of the bible. Man claimed he was calling from Israel and it is a nine month course. First thing I noticed was his so called accent and my antennas went up and I knew this was a scam, he then tried to bogart me into giving him my information and I became nasty towards him and then i hung up the phone. The area code he called from was 9-723-755-4140. I checked and there is no such area code, it probably was a computer generated number I will be reporting this number. Be careful who you answer your phone to, there are a lot of scams out here
