Caller id said "mui".  Live call from someone asking if i am still getting several magazines (which he named).  I don't get any magazines and told him so.  He thanked me and hung up.  So, what did he gain from this call?  What should i have done when he asked about my magazines?  I run a home business and cannot ignore calls i don't recognize.  Might be from customers or vendors. So don't tell me to ignore all calls.  Just tell me what this guy gained from calling me.

I just had a second call (first was about 2 weeks ago on a Saturday I believe) and the same woman "Gloria" said "you never called me back, what happened" and I said I'll handle magazine subscription renewal myself and she immediately said in a testy voice "Fine, you can pay the higher price if you want" and hung up.  In the previous call she already knew what magazine I subscribe to and offered good discount price but I told her I don't respond to sales calls from unknown sources and I'd call back for the discount, etc. - then I thought about it after hanging up and realized it could still be a scam even if she was giving me her phone number to call back; i.e. possibly not "wire fraud" per se but I've seen notices in the magazine about unauthorized 3rd parties selling subscriptions, etc. - so I didn't call back.

Called my home phone, left this on voice mail "Hello, We are not available now, please leave your name and phone number after the beep and we'll get back to you."

Two calls this AM from this number, didn't leave message. Called ID is "MUI." Now blocked.
