I let the unfamiliar number go to answer and heard this on the speaker: "Hey, this is James from Reverse Mortgage Savings Center on a recorded line. Can you hear me OK?" Then the call disconnected.

Loud and clear, dude. You're blocked!

Caller ID was South River NJ.

Called Saturday, 1/6/18 at 3:36 pm PST.  Caller ID showed "V10615361700260".  No message left when answering machine came on.

Scammer said he was on a recorded line something about a mortgage. I just hung up on him but I would have rather blown an eardrum with my air horn. Perhaps next call I will.

You really hate your hearing that bad?  Because you won't be blowing out anyone's eardrums but your own since telephone equipment will not transmit sound at a decibel level that will do that sort of damage.  As a matter of fact, all it might do is mildly annoy them.  Now you on the other hand, being in the same room will take the full brunt of that noise and your hearing will be damaged.  I might suggest that you look up the phone number for a local hearing aid place as you are going to need it.

732-210-0250 called JAN 10, 2018 at 9:12 am.  Caller ID = OUT OF AREA (telephone criminals block real CALLER ID).  No message (telephone criminals don't leave messages).

732-210-0250 calls me almost everyday.   I have caller ID and will not answer it.  Party will not leave a message.

my phone said SCAM LIKELY in big red letters.  Left no message.

Called. No message. Hung up when voice message which is set with reject message for unknown numbers leaves terse message.

Caller didn't leave message. This is just one variation of scam/spoofed numbers from 732 area code. NEVER answer these calls!

called 15jan at 1115. I missed the call, no message left, and no caller id..

There was a live person on the line claiming to be from some reverse mortgage company making a "recording of this call." Interestingly, there was no delay indicating an automated call. I suspect that the statement about recording the call was an attempt to seem legitimate, like "he's recording me, he must be from a real company." I suspected a scam, hung up, and blocked the number, but I fear this one will snag elderly people because it's very slick.

Called @ 1716. Caller ID= UNKNOWN NAME. Did not answer. No message left

Hang Up... I blocked.
