Someone texting me to buy my items from a Craigslist ad. They actually sent me a fake cashiers check and wanted me to cash it and give them the difference. I just threw the check away. The person is a scammer.

If you can find the check & envelope, take it to the post office (if it was mailed).  Postal inspectors like to check mail fraud!

This number responded to my craigslist ad shortly after it posted. They stated they wanted it and would pay with a cashier's check; and once I cashed the check the individual would send their
mover to pick up the item.  This is same text I received a year ago when posting another item.

Number called saying they were from ss office and asks that you call them back

Michael from Social Security, my SS Number has been compromised and is being used for fraudulent purposes. I must call 732-931-5412 immediately, or my SS# will be cancelled. Do not respond! The Social Security Department will contact you by U.S. Mail to make a phone appointment.

I received a call from this number 9/01/22. I did not answer.
