My caller ID showed American Police and they have called before with a different number, the last guy I spoke to I told him we never give to anyone over the phone since there are tons of scammers and I support my local police department.  He actually said "ok, have a nice day."  I knew it was a scam *:)

Caller ID said American Police. REALLY? I do not answer with hello,         I answered with: "My husband is a retired police Lt". (which he is).
Click!! They hung up. SCAM!!!

I let it go to voicemail. First thing I hear is "Mark...Are you there?" When I looked up the number, there was a scam report from someone named Brenda, with almost the same message. Their tech is getting better, even though they're still stupid enough to think someone is going to fall for "American Police"

PAC.  Their name is probably a lot longer but the caller id will not show more than 15 letters/spaces.  Plus they have no control over what shows up in the CNAM.  They can only control the CNUM.

My caller ID said 'unknown name', but number was as stated. First he asked for me by name, then went into they typical "calling on behalf of police officers".  I said "I don't believe anyone who's ID is 'unknown name' and said 'don't call here again'....yea, that'll work, these scammers call numerous times a week for the police and now all of a sudden, the firefighters....I'm all for the police, etc. but NOT giving anything to these jerks!

Got a call from 734 206 7228 at 7pm while eating dinner. I let the call go to voice mail and the person called out my name, "Stephen?... Stephen? Are you there?" I never go by Stephen. Anyone who knows me, only knows me as Steve. It's a scam or a sales call. Don't answer.

They just called at 8:15am. Thank goodness my phone has a call block feature which I activated.

ROBOCALL!  Called Friday, October 8, 2021 @ 11:10 am EDT - Caller ID shows "American Police" - same old racket that's been going on for years. NEVER GIVE TO ANYONE CALLING ON THE PHONE!!!  If you wish to support your local public safety agency, give directly - NOT to some phony on the phone.

It is a politcal PAC using "police" as funding tool to get money out of people.  It is NOT a charity with money going directly to police officers and their families.
