- Sam| 2 repliesDo not believe these people they said owed a payday loan company money and they were pressing charges on me but I called the company directly and they could not find anything saying I owed them money or that I even took out a loan. These frauds at this number are just trying to scare you into giving them your personal information for who knows what reason. If you can report them to the police dept.
- irate replies to Sam| 1 replyThese people are from another country! They called me this morning saying my SS was involved in a criminal case and wanted me to confirm it, scary thing is that they read it off to me! I refused to confirm anything unless they told me exactly what "crime" was committed. She still refused! She said if I didn't want to cooperate I could just wait to deal with the legal officer when they come to my house and work place to present me with the "evidence." She wouldn't even tell me the name of the company, just said they were a Law Firm. I called the police and opened a lifelock account! Very rude people and the connection was horrible. Everything about them screams fraud.

- lacert| 1 replyWOW this happened to me last year. 1st they called my employer leaving a message that my social security number was being used elsewhere..so naturally I called them up.
When I got someone to answer me, they told me what my social number, my email address, my home number and all that other very important information. When I was asked to comfirm it, I told them that I will not unless they tell me who they were and how they got that information. they refused to tell me that information. So I hung up. About an hour later I got another call from my employer telling me that the people called and was asked to call them back. At this time I was already worried that information was being used, and furious with them simply cause they didn't want to tell me who they were. So again I called them back, and I told them, since you have my address send me the information that you want to confirm so I can take it to the police & my attorney for review. Guess what! They stopped calling. - anonymous replies to irateTHIS IS A SCAM. I would be careful with Lifelock, google "lifelock scam" - irate replies to lacertI was furious. The lady kept raising her voice with me and was threatening "if you don't confirm, you will deal with our legal officer coming to your house and work by 11am tomorrow with evidence." She wouldn't even tell me the name of the company. I called the local police but haven't heard back yet. And signed up with lifelock. She said the SSAN was involved in a criminal case so I asked what type of crime a number committed, she still refused until I confirmed. I asked where they were based out of, she said "California, like you right?" I said nope because my cell is from another state. Very threatening people, horrible connection for a "business" and everyone had an overseas accent. I'm still pissed.
