- CLJust got a call from this #.
When I don't know a number I sometimes answer and just hold the line, saying nothing. If a human does not speak to me and the caller hangs up, I know its a scam.
This is what this caller just did. It's a computer WAITING for a response that then connects one of these people in a call center to you. They may not know they're scamming you.
If I do get a person after I hear the spiel for a few seconds, and I've identified them as not being relevant to my life, I just put them on hold and take up their time, or, I hang up on them if I need the line. They'll usually move on because the computer is doing the dialing and whenever they drop a call, it puts them in the redial queue. Better to move on than waste time with a knowledgeable user who can by their experience properly identify them as scammers.- Caller: Unknown Name
- Busby BulletBEWARE!!! vI also received a call from this number who spoke very poor English. He stated I had a bunch of errors on my computer. The person was trying to gain access to my computer. Beware of these types of people as they are up to no good!
- Carol L. JonesMan said they are getting feedback from my PC. There is a problem that they can fix over phone. Was very insistent that I must let them fix it immediately. Told him I would take it to my PC repairman. I don't do phone repaires.

- SmannThis scam is still active. My boyfriend got a call from them on his cell phone and they claimed to be from Apple and that someone was accessing his computer from his airport. He put the call on speakerphone so I heard it as well. Really bad connection and thick Indian accents was passed off to someone else when explaining that could not hear or understand why they were calling. I said it's a scam and my boyfriend hung up and they tried to call back again. Went hunting online... Thank you all to those who report this kind of activity.

Just got one now at 8:30AM same scam saying I have computer virus told him he was scamming me and I didn't have a computer he called me a f***ing [***] over and over and was screaming at me. Such nice telephone manners. I have made 4 separate claims with the FTC they can't stop them just take all the info and phone #s. they use several #s and spoof calls too. So disgusting. You should of heard this idiot screaming at me over and over I told him to go to he** and hung up. I am sure he will be calling back.

- scooterWhat a RIOT! After reading the comments here, I got the second call of the day from this number. I answered. Have to admit, this is the second time I've actually talked to ...sounds like the same guy. BIG diff: First time around a couple weeks ago, the company he was with was Tech Service of America - or something like that. He got really angry with me because I wouldn't click the two buttons he told me to click. Before I let him blab on the first time, I told him I was recording the conversation. (Fine. I'm not selling anything) I finally hung up and he actually called me back! Yelled at me some more. BUDDY! this is called harassment on top of trying to scam me! This call and the one before will go to the FBI!. So he calls from VAP, gives a different name and wants to talk "about your computer, OK?" My response: "Look Buddy, we've already been through this and I've already recorded our two conversations and sent them to the FBI. Do you want to continue with this?" Gee...he didn't even say 'good'bye'...just hung up the phone.
