Please whoever is using this number 767275924 should please stop flashing people. It's disturbing

What's disturbing is a stream of complaints about phone behavior indicated by a slang term which no one in the Americas comprehends. Also disturbing is that more of you share this delusion that a bulletin board-style website, the kind of forum which existed pre-internet, is the same as a text message service. This thread (currently) is not so long that you could all miss yesterday's cautionary reply.

So let's do this again with my volume raised:
* YOU ARE NOT CONTACTING YOUR CALLERS OR "FLASHERS" HERE.
* YOUR CALLERS DO NOT RECEIVE YOUR COMMENTS AS DIRECT MESSAGES.
* YOUR CALLERS CANNOT DETECT YOUR PHONE NUMBERS HERE AND CANNOT REPLY DIRECTLY.
* EVERYTHING YOU WRITE HERE MAY BE SEEN BY EVERY SITE USER.

What would really help is to name the caller and describe what the caller wants. Stop making foolish demands and contribute what you know. That's how 800Notes is meant to work.

An article from late 2010 on the mobile phone culture in Nigeria took some rooting to locate and may explain a few things. Note that their use of the term "credit" is analogous to "minutes" in North America when referring to mobile phone plans.

The US Federal Trade Commission terms this "call abandonment" and severely limits business callers to a thin margin of error when mass-dialing, preferring calls which connect to someone or something productive. Americans consider this "peekaboo" dialing exceptionally annoying, no matter who does it and regardless of whether the recipient uses a mobile phone or a landline.

One article comment inspires further study, as a couple years back all of North America endured a serious rash of such calls from crooks overseas, who were often luring recipients into returning calls at very high international carrier rates.
