It's Synchrony Bank for the Amazon Store Card. They handle a lot of credit cards, so it could be for another store card like Torrid, Maurice's, etc. that you're late on. But it is Synchrony Bank, looking for their payment.

they call from several different numbers requesting a return call concerning a bank account problem.
Do Not return their calls. This is yet another scam going on.

they call several times a day for the bank they are in India and they want you to pat them the late payment but the problem is that it is not late not even due to the 5th of March they want it early,not past due

Synchrony Bank is a legitimate bank.  Why doesn't Amazon/ Synchrony take steps to put a stop to these harassing phone calls?
It's a scam and Jeff Bezoss should be made aware that these calls have a detrimental effect on his business enterprises.

Number not known to me...I do not have any credit cards so I can't be late with any payments.

This number has been calling me on my home phone and cell phone number everyday, early in the morning until night for a while. Even if I answer, it's a recorded message telling me to call another number. Since I get so many scam phone calls every single day, I'm afraid to call the number back and after reading all these comments, don't think I will and will also block this number.

Received call claiming to be Amazon. Hung up it is not Amazon, as I called them thru there 1-866 number. Just received an email from Amazon. It's not an Amazon number. Be careful

If it's for a Synchony Bank card, I thank everyone who has said they are looking for card payment.  I do have a card from them, and I set up an autopay for payment this week.  I ended up blocking the number, so they'll get their payment....

It is not Amazon or Synchrony Bank. Wherever you got that information is mistaken. I notice you have posted this exact message on other websites that report fraudulent numbers. I hope you will stop doing that, because it makes you look like an agent for the scammers who are calling from this number.

I tried more than you know too make payment. Why don't you send me a paper bill.

"Shannon" posted here a year ago.  She simply made a report, just like you did.  What makes you think that "Shannon" works for or is associated in any way with this bank?  Since that bank is easily found on the internet, you should be able to find a contact number for them, which by the way should also be listed on the back of your credit card.  Maybe you should be contacting them?

Caller calls various times of the day. Never leaves a message on Answering Mach.
