This person seems threatening and calls multiple times.

Just called my business and did not say anything.  After a few moments, hung up.

Total scammers using very threatening methods. Don't even answer call from this number.

Man was very persistent, when asking for the owner (he asked by the owner  first name only ).
He acted as if he knew him personally.
When explaining to the man that the owner was on the other line. Mr. Lucas wanted to hold.
I told Mr. Lucas to leave a number and or a message because I wasn't able to inform the owner while on the other line with a customer that he had someone asking for him.
Mr. Lucas said "can you get up and go to his office and tell him I'm on the line waiting for him".
That was the last straw and just told him to leave his info and the owner will call him. Mr. Lucas rudely hung up.
Our business is in Texas and deal mainly with areas around Houston and etc.
This number shows is from Georgia. I suggest to not answer it has to be a sells call. This man has a threatening type of tone.

answered but no one there. If they want to get to the boss they have to go through me. Rarely does one trick me into transferring the call to him.

Rude person who says he is Dan with Anderson & Associates. He asks for the owner by first name and only will say that he was to call at 4:05 about a confidential legal matter. Totally made up! I put him on hold and after a few minutes he hangs up.  He is very arrogant and tells me to get him on the phone and he'll hold. He doesn't ask, he TELLS me to GET him on the phone! Surely, they know we get several of these calls in a week. His attitude is a dead giveaway that he's not legit.

I'm a small business owner. I have an office manager & a secretary/receptionist. For years I've encouraged them to play with fraudulent callers. They get a kick out of it. So do I. When we're busy, or they're not in the mood, they know to answer unknown callers with the stock "Who's calling please?". A fraud will have the usual canned answer. They'll respond with "Who are you with?".  Blah, blah... "This is in reference to what?". Confusion begins.
At this point, my staff will politely instruct the caller to identify him (or her) self & the company they're with, along with what this call is in reference to. A suitable micro-second will follow before the caller is informed that "Your calls will now go to VM. When you're able to communicate on a business level, leave a message. Failure to do so will result in any further calls being blocked."  For some reason, this seems to work really well. Equally as odd, callers that receive this answer rarely call back to leave a message.
I am an unusual employer. I understand that some others aren't as easy going. Business is business. But...I see no reason why my people should be harassed. If they are...God help the fool trying to do so. I've never lost a customer from the conduct of my people. On the contrary, their conduct is what makes us what we are.

These people are also calling into Canada. Harassing, rude and belligerent, posing as bill collectors.

Mindless idiot calling ........  needs to be taken out behind the school and showed what happens to "phone bullies ".

This jerk said he was "Jay" calling for the owner. I asked what company he was with, he said Powers (or something like that as he suddenly went into speed-talking mode), and that he had a scheduled call with the owner at 10. It's not my first rodeo, so I told him just a moment, and let him sit on hold for a while. When I returned to the line to tell him the owner wasn't available, he had the nerve to say "well are you sure he's not there, is his car in the parking lot, can you get up and go check if his car is in the parking lot". Needless to say, what a jerk!!!!!

Jay just tried to call my boss again!.  He tried to bully his way through my Operations Manager and demanded to talk with the boss. I have seen "Jays" number many times and he is just a Bully salesman.  I agree with Lisa: He doesn't ask, he TELLS me to GET him on the phone!  Maybe he gets paid by time on the phone or something, because his tactics are just plain dumb. Jay will never get through!  Ever! Ever!

<sigh> "John" (yes, as in toilet) from this number just called.  "Out of Area" shows on the caller ID.  NASTY NASTY SUB-HUMAN!  Said he was from DAWSON COMPANY.  Asked for someone by first name only.  Acted like he was a friend.  Claimed he was to call by 10:30. He claimed to be from the Central Time Zone but could not calculate what time it is here.  Geesh, isn't that elementary school stuff??? And, toilet boy, your late and that person isn't here.  DEMANDED to speak with the name he gave.  LOL...toilet boy, you have the wrong number for that person, but I'm not telling you that after your rudeness.  DEMANDED to be put on hold.  LOL toilet boy, joke is on you and you got put on hold as demanded.  Call again, I've got time to play your game.

Rude caller yelling and blurted some name. When informed that there is none by that name, he insisted to talk to owner. Realizing this is sales promo call, curtly disconnected the line.

jUST GOT THE SAME CALL AND THE PERSON SAID THEIR NAME WAS JOE HOUSER. SPOKE WTH JEFF WHEN I CALLED THE NUMBER BACK AND HE SAID WE WOULD BE PUT ON A DO NOT CALL LIST. SPOKE TO JEFF'S SUPERVISOR TONY AND HE SAID WE WOULD GO ON DO NOT CALL LIST. VERY THREATENING AND PERSISTENT AND ASKED FOR THE OWNER WITH FIRST NAME ONLY

Bill called asked to speak to the owner asked for him by his first name. I told him, he was in a meeting, He wanted me to put him on hold and go interrupt the meeting. Just tell him it's Bill.  I told him I was not going to interrupt. He said it's a very important legal matter that he needed to talk to him.  I told him, he was in a very important meeting, that I would take his information and have the owner call him back.  Bill replied that was going to be a problem, he wouldn't be in the office. I said well looks like we both a have a problem he hung up. The owner wasn't even here. I like messing with them if I have the time.

Bill, you are the moron you seemed to think I was.  You aren't getting thru to ANYONE here!  And, I get paid by the hour.  Call back.  I bet you hang up before I do...again.  Your rude behavior won't matter.  Game on!!

Just got a call from this guy at 770-258-6616 (Tim GoVan he said was his name) I could tell he was a telemarketer cause of the noise in the background and how defensive he got with the normal questions I was asking him, he was doing the whole I need to talk to Jeff I was supposed to call him at 2:30, what time is it there, yeah it's 2:30 so let me talk to him he called me.... blah blah blah it's an important legal issue blah blah blah... same old telemarketer crap unfortunatly for him we are never allow to transfer a call to the owner of the company without getting a list of questions answered by the caller and then we call the owner and give him all the info and he chooses if he wants to talk to them so he will never get through LOL!! Jokes on you TIM GOVAN!!

Just got this call...asked for owner, I asked for message..he declined saying he'll just call his other number...ha, that's not happening. I called the number back, it's a collection company recording wanting to sell their services, it also gives you the option to push #2 to be put on the do not call list....done and done.

got a call form some clown at this number. DEMANDING the owner. Sorry but owner is not in Canada and if I could get your name & # I'll pas the info along to him. Tell me where he is this ass replied. I want his number. I kindly asked for the company name he was calling from. Some Shepard Corporation he told me.
this jack ass who called has NOTHING but ignorant phone manners and I know 100% the owner of this company would not want to deal with him, and if he did and found out this clown spoke to his employee in that tine and manner  that would be the last dealing with him.
