We get calls from 770-415-1478 but we don't
answer .  Is it a scam call # ?

Called 6:15 p.m. on a Sunday night, what the hell?

9:15 two mornings in a row, hang up no message

Got several hang-ups from this number over the past few days. Called the number and a person answered. She found my name in her list and said my number would be removed. They call on behalf of "several" charitable foundations. Told her I was on the do-not-call list. She said charities were exempt from that. (What other exemptions are there???). Didn't get the name of the organization.

What other calls are exempt from the DNC list? You can easily find that out on the DNC list website on the Information for Consumers link but basically any call that is not directly selling goods or services or qualifying you as a sales prospect for a third party are exempt.

Thanks Mike. There should be rules for exempt organizations that require them to leave a message with info about who they are, why they're calling, and how to be removed from their lists, instead of them calling and hanging up twice a day for a week.
