Got a call from that number, I did not bother to answer since I figured out it's telemarketers again. They did not left a message which is how I knew since it's their M.O. The thing that annoyed me is they called my phone close to 7 PM today. There should be laws these telemarketers can not fall through loopholes and call anybody when it's evening time. Other countries do not allowed that so it needed to be follow here unless I missed something. with the laws.

Caller ID comes up as "WALMART", and it's a recorded message saying "Congratulations!  You have won a special gift for viewing one of our websites!"  I hung up at this point.  This call came to a business line.  I doubt it was actually Walmart.

Caller id is actually WAMART. A play on Walmart. They have been calling every so often for months. No message. Deceptive caller id.

You do understand that no one on this site is calling you, do you not?  Invest in a call blocker and do not pick up on call numbers you do not recognize.

Caller ID says "Unknown Name, 17704151763"; Greeting comes on line says I have "won' a gift card from Walmart or Best Buy for visiting a recent website. Hmmm. Does not state the Sponsoring co name, nor the phone number to complain about THIS call. Only options are press 1 to speak to a live agent, or 2 to be not called again. Live agent asks for First and Last Name, he mis-hears and cannot understand what is being said very well because of background noise in his room. So I ask what is the name of the sponsoring Company, and he mumbles Call Solution Management, and I query him  on their city and LOCAL phone number. He puts me on hold, then call drops.... oh well off to the next sucker.

Wal-Mart and Best Buy are NOT associated with each other!  However, they do sell Long Distance Calling cards world-wide.  Any call coming on your display as 'Unknown Number' is likely a computer auto-dialer or a call via Voice-Over-Internet-Protocoal (VoIP) which could be from anywhere.  My home phone services cuts-off auto-dialers when they go to voicemail, so I no longer answer numbers I don't recognize.  Usually, it is an off-shore call centre trying to run some sort of scam.

For information on how these operations work (in Nigeria or Karachi, Pakistan), do a Search on "CBC Marketplace, To Catch A Telemarketer".  Worth waiting through the on-line commercials for the education.  Legitimate companies respect the Do Not Call Registries for their countries; scammers don't.  Do NOT press any buttons to 'remove from list' or 'speak to an agent' - that just confirms to their computer that your phone number is 'live' and you will get more calls, as the scammers rent/sell/share their databases.

Just got a call from this number, are they crazy the caller is WAMART without the L so be aware this is not walmart. Do not answer, just block caller and they can't call you anymore. Most phones these days have a way to block callers, so block them.

I think they went out of business, it is a scam

Caller ID "WAMART", person had a foreign accent.  Said I had been selected to receive  a 100 dollar gift card, just had to pay an activation fee.  Wanted credit card information, which I did not provide.  Only answered because of the name, only after I ended the call I realized it said "WAMART" not "WALMART".

I received a call from this number but luckily I was not home.  I just wish they would go away.
