- HillaryI received a call from WCF on March 7th, 2018. Only identified as such from caller ID. I picked up and they acted like they knew me. "Hi Hillary!" she said. I said "Hi" very slowly in response b/c I did not recognize their voice. She says "you're harder to reach than (something I did not make out)!" Which is hard to believe as I am disabled and most often, at home. So that was lie number one. Was already suspicious after they used my first name in the most familiar manner. Then she didn't introduce herself or her organization either. No names. If you don't use specifics it creates suspicion that you are trying to hide who you are. She then told me it was a women's cancer charity and it would really help if I would commit to donating when they send it by mail. I told her that I was sorry, but no. I told her I am disabled and cannot afford it at this time. She again told me that the money would help women with cancer and in her sweetest, most manipulative tone repeated "Can I count on your donation??" I told her "No, have a good day and bye, bye." Then hung up. I felt bad. Even though I am sick I want to help people so I felt bad, but at the same time I felt upset that she didn't care that *I* have health problems that are bad enough to be disabling and she had no empathy for that. I discussed it with my partner and they thought it was a scam. Sure enough it led me to this website. I saw other situations that were like my own. There are some websites for women's cancer that have the name WCF, but one is in Australia and the other was Women's Cancer Fund, but if this caller was from Women's Cancer Fund, why wouldn't you use your organization's name? I feel quite certain at this point that it is a scam.

- Anne-sick-of-telemarketersScammer called, but didn't leave message. Caller ID reads, WCF.
Charity or not, there's no way we give donations to callers. Don't care who they claim they're with.
Everyone wants money... we get scam calls on a daily basis, including weekends. If you scammers read comments, STOP CALLING.- Caller: WCF

- HelenThey have called me REPEATEDLY and the caller ID says "WCF"
Now I am a 92 year old woman and was shocked that they used my first name to ACT like they KNOW ME and ask me for donations. They try to basically make you feel GUILTY if you DON'T donate! The times I DIDN'T ANSWER, they have left voicemails on my home answering machine. It's creepy and annoying and definitely a scam!- Caller: WCF

- Mike BrennanI got the same call from an entity identified as “WCF” on my phone. The person/robot was a female voice, either person or robot, pretending this was a second call to “Vladi.” Same home cooking reference. Most deceptive (ie., untruthful) message I’ve ever received.
- Caller: “WCF”?
