Law firm making threats to sue over ignoring collection agency calls.

Collection firm in  Mississauga, Ontario, calling from 'dummy numbers' .....from West Coast to the East Coast....allegedly representing a Chicago area lawyer named Josh Newman.   Freaking illiterate with loud voice can't even PRONOUNCE 'contractual'...let alone do anything about it.   They speak "Yank"  blabbing on about "Attorney"...a term we don't use here in Canada much.

This "Law Firm" and this 'attorney' are NOT licensed in Ontario to Practise law, according to the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Ontario regulating body for Lawyers, Barristers, Solicitors....AND Paralegals.

Ya know what "Josh"?  If you actually said on WHOSE behalf you were trying to collect, people might actually return your calls.

I agree with all the messages above.   The dummy number keeps changing, but the number they give you to reach is the same that has been coming through day after day.  I have tried to get someone in the government to stop these calls, and even Vonage is limited in what they can do.    "Josh Newman" seems to be getting around to many people...it is spam, a hoax, and probably the people who are using dummy numbers are part of a get rich quick scheme in which people have lists that they must call.

a real nuisance. not real.. if it were you'd be getting letters....so don't give any info to them...this is dishonest. They use CRI as the company that called.  If it were real, they'd write...
