recieved call, shows unknown, didn't leave a message

claiming to be from a mazda credit office in alberta asking about my neighbour said name was steve

Person form number called twice in 5 days claiming to not being able to get a hold of the guy across the street (I don't really know the guy either). She then went on to say that she was worried and such and wanted me to check to see if his vehicle was home.

She never said who she was and I hung up on her the second time after I told her again that I don't know the guy.

The guy has been home and I have seen him leaving and coming home so she obliviously isn't trying very hard or he is screening his calls.

It looks a legitimate number from Ford Credit or Mazda Credit from Edmonton.

They called me related to a account number that I had with them and all information looks like correct and update.

I don't think it is a spam or fraud.

This is Edmonton Service center number 780 443-5300, call the number back & see if you arent sure!!! Not a Spam, they work under Ford Credit but the do finance for Mazda, Volvo, Jaguar, Landrover & some of Mitsubishi Suziki & subaru....

Caller identified herself as 'Angie' from Global Financial Services. She  left a direct line to return the call as 888-545-2489 x 86002. I was suspicious because I never heard of this company, don't own a Ford product, and I live in Ontario.  I did not return the call.

Mazda asking questions about leasing

Wanted contact information for the management company of an apartment address.  Perhaps trying to track someone down.  Maybe a collection agency.

Caller identified herself as working for Ford Credit and when we called this number back, it is indeed.  We had a leased Ford minivan that was returned to Ford on March 1st.  The dealer had us answer and sign all questions in relation to the use of this minivan.  Then now, we have been getting these calls wanting us to answer the same questions again!!  When we called this number (1/2 hour after receiving our last call from this number) and finally got to speak to someone, they admitted they had JUST RECEIVED THE INFORMATION (from the dealer) TODAY!!  

Kinda looks to us like Ford Credit is wanting to know for themselves if the answers sent in by dealers are the same as what the former lessee would give.

This really is Ford Credit (mazda credit also..) they do lease & finance for more than one vehicle's brand. There is more than one departement at the company, there is lease end, collections, commercial lease, finance, customer service, accounting....  U might be getting a call from them if u owe one of this brand: Ford, mazda, volvo, Jag, LandRover, and the call might be collections if u are behind or payments, or it might be regading a lease termination if ur lease is coming due or it might be a survery regarding the condition of the vehicle u have leased from them... AND yes sometimes the dealers are way behind on sending them the infos on time & thats when they have to contact the customer themselves. Hope that helped :)

Definitely legit: Ford Credit, Edmo

This call is actually from Ford Credit in Alberta. Some of the people who call from there lie to other people to get information. This company is unethical and I would not recommend using it. They have called several people trying to find out personal information about customers. I say go with Honda. Who needs Ford?

why would they have called you to get in touch with someone else? how would they know he was your neighbour? strange

Interesting ... they are calling my fax line.  Ford credit?????  I do not have any automobiles that I am making payments on, lease or finance.  Sounds fishy to me!!  No fax comes through.

Ford Credit; left me a message. Called back and spoke with Matt. He said my account wasn't delinquent and they aren't trying to get a hold of me. A lady named Margeret then called my father (who's not on the account, doesn't live with me, has nothing to do with any of it) and threatened repossession. I called back and spoke to Don and he said they don't have my father's information and they don't know who this Margaret is.

Sounds like someone is using their number for spoof calls.  Best to call Ford directly if you do business with them.

I called them back because i keep missing there calls and the message machine came up Williams real state agent .??

This number called me asking for information about an acquaintance. I was surprised because I don't know how they got my number, I have no business with them.

I just received a call from them, Ford Credit. I have recently traded in my lease, and they were just calling to confirm that they're stopping my automatic debit payments. They seem legit from my end.
