hang up on answer

This guy identified as Gary, called my associate. When my associate picked up (on his personal cell) and was wondering what it was about, Gary said I ask the questions around here and hung up. I called back from my office landline and Gary picked up and hung up. Then I called back and he claimed he spoke to my associate 6 months ago. I said that's funny cause he's been working for me for 3 weeks. He said are you sure. Like what?! I'm the owner of the company, of course I'm sure. He then asked if we wanting business funding cause he spoke to me. I said you never spoke to me and I never wanted funding. He said he would remove me from his list. (probably more bs). Btw, this is a burn or voip # as I traced the number and it's not registered to a company or person.
