Getting unwanted calls from CCS

Called.  Didn’t leave s message.  This number called before harassing me over a cancelled insurance policy with farmers that the agent never cancelled.

They do nto identify themselves as "ccsusa" and if you ask what CCS stands for, they won't tell you.

Called and asked for me by name including my middle initial. Not hard to find that info. I asked who they are, "CCS." I am 3000 miles from Massachusetts. Asked who they are and they will not reply. anything other than CCS. Did say "We deal with a number of business and personal issues and without verifying who I am talking to I cannot say anything more." To which I said without identifying who you are I cannot allow the call to be transferred (to me). the discontinued the call. I have nothing derogatory or in collections, I checked my credit report and have nothing erroneous there either.

They asked for Ronald or Donald but I told him my brother Ronald wasnt around but they call all the time it’s harassment

CCS is one of those collection agencies that call repeatedly looking to identify "the person responsible for the estate of ______". My wife passed in January and she had a few credit cards with small balances that I am not responsible for. They, along two others, are unrelenting. Thank goodness I have a kick-[***] attorney! Imagine the training these people go through to learn how to attack and pressure people during a difficult time. They don't care. It's all commission based for these sharks. They don't care. At first, I was really rattled by them. Now, I want to answer their calls and just laugh like a lunatic. :-)

Should be "Credit Collection Scammers" Calls for previous owner of my phone number. I don't know the guy. I've had this number for over 10 years. Rude, threatening, abusive, convinced I'm lying for him.

Call received @ 9:35 am Wednesday, September 18, 2019.  Returned the call - "Thanks for calling Dedication Health. Please leave your contact information and one of our super, dooper agents will get back to you." No H--- You Won't!  You're Blocked!   I guess Dedication Health is Robocalling the country looking for business.

I think it's a collection from Geico. I dropped them and they billed me for $40 I haven't paid.

I answered a call from 781-825-5000 to hear an automated female voice telling me to hold for an important business call. After I heard silence for 90 seconds, I hung up. I didn’t call them. They called me. If you call me and interrupt my day, you should be ready to talk to me. Some nerve!

Just received a call on land line, asking for my Husband who passed 8 months ago and than wanted to speak to me. Just said I’m not responsible for His Bills. He’s gone. Is anything else if another call??

You will need to send them a certified, return receipt debt validation (by law they have to go back to the original creditor to prove you owe the debt), cease and desist calling, or "not me" letter (this will be the best money that you have ever invested).  Also send it first class mail in case no one will sign for it.  Make a notation of that fact at the bottom of the letter.  You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to.  Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment.  If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt, and we would all be the richer for it.  Use these web sites to find an attorney in your state that will probably take the case on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket up front):  http://www.consumeradvocates.org/

You have to wonder why someone in PA would be the owner of a business that is located in Florida.  Must be a heck of a commute every day.

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and (this is the important part) that they have the legal right to collect it.  You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.  

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.  If and when you get that letter you should immediately send that debt validation letter by certified, return receipt mail.
