- Heath| 3 repliesPossible phishing phone number. Received a call concerning fraudulent activity on my credit card. Caller left message requesting call back; Caller referenced old(closed) CC account number and then connected the call to an automated recording.
Called the CC issuing bank. They had no record of fraudulent activity nor of an attempt to contact me.
Advise all consumers to return the call to your bank by using the number on the back of your credit card. Please post updates on this number. - Heath replies to HeathMy mistake -- the calling number was 800 427-2449, not 800-205-6247. I will repost to the other number.
205-6247 is legitimate -- Visa Signature. - i dunno| 1 replyThis number is printed on the back of my Bank of America Visa Signature, for calling "24-Hour Customer Service". This is a number I trust to use when I call Bank of America.

- CappyPicked up the call; said nothing; heard a clicking noice and then call went to busy. More than likely a voice activated call from a scammer spoofing Bank of America number! Checked another website and it indicates this is a fraud/scam with numerous comments ranging from credit card services scam, computer scam and the social security administration scam. The caller is just a moron!

- Reagan Kole replies to EarickThese people are scammers! They can make a phone number appear to be ANY number they choose to use! You will believe it is the Bank actually calling but it is NOT. Don't give out ANY info to ANYBODY these days! If I did not call them MYSELF... Then they get NOTHING. Not my name, not my number....NOTHING. They can still bank info and money by porting your number out to a new SIM card. If you are unfamiliar with that term you need to research number porting...it is a MUST to keep money secure!

Listen to messageQuote:Hi this is the last chance from Bank of America with important changes to your account before the next billing cycle to graduation on your excellent payment history you now qualify for a 0 percent interest rate on all your credit card account this is a limited time offer and you must respond immediately press one now to speak to our qualification department and complete the enrollment process.
Banks do not randomly call customers out of the blue and make offers that cut their profit margin to zero.
ONLY scammers do this sort of calling to get your credit card info. - Reagan KI just received a call and do NOT use Bank of America....they are requesting a social security number! The man sounded of MAYBE Asian ethnicity... Very difficult to understand his broken English. As soon as I asked my number to be removed from their call list....they slammed phone down BEFORE I could even finish my request!
BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE..... The scammers are able to make the phone number look legit by making it appear on your end as the real number. Actually....they can make it appear to be from ANY number they choose to use! These are scammers! I would NEVER EVER under ANY circumstances give out personal info via phone UNLESS I called them personally! Not these days....too many lazy people looking for free money. Don't know about the rest of you...but I am NOT working myself to death to pay for THEIR funzies! 👿😡
Do NOT even give them your phone number (they may not know it if it was a random dialing system) or this may happen....a simple search gives them the carrier you use. THEN they call them, claim to be you, and say they lost their Sim card and have a new one. The carrier takes the info, transfers YOUR phone number to THEIR new Sim card! They NOW have ALL your information, including the use of your number, (your phone would no longer work...some carriers use pins now to prevent this, you may have to request it) and can gain access to your bank accounts etc (this Sim card change process is called "porting"). So PLEASE help shut these scumbags down by educating others on the tricks/shams and remain AWARE! Best of luck to all! Scary world we are in these days.... 😔- Caller: "Bank of America"
