I received a call from this number during a storm watch.  This is a threat to lives when a person calls up a number during an emergency.  I am going to relay this number to my congressman.

I answered the phone but heard no one speak. I called the number back and it was FPL giving me a contact number in case I had a power outage during Hurricane Matthew 1-800-4-OUTAGE.

You ID the phone call as FPL rather than Toll Free Caller. I don't take TFC's.

Thanks, I had this blocked because they do not say anything and it is rare when this number calls. FPL is good, at least now I have it labeled,

Lol, you are going to tell your congressman that FPL was calling to warn you about a storm and letting you know to be prepared? Are some wires crossed somewhere? I don't understand how their message about being prepared for a storm is endangering lives...

If this were from FP&L, the caller ID would say so.  I did not pick up.  "Toll Free Call" means squat.
Believe it or not, this is a time for scammers and opportunists.  Your electric bill already has this number listed.  So, whats the real point of this call?  To find out the line is active for future prey.
Gird your loins!  And stay safe.  No garbage pickup tomorrow or Friday btw, I called to confirm.

Received 3 calls today from this number, didn't answer and no message was left. Previous posts states it's from FPL, however I called FPL to verify if they were calling and if the posted number is theirs and was told it's not their number nor have they been calling me. This number has been blocked.

Dangerous you are! A storm WATCH is not an emergency.  However, I am almost certain that your Congressman would love to hear from you. You should call every day until you get the response you deserve.  Here's your sign...

What "threat to lives" is there "when a person calls up a number during an emergency"? No one said you have to answer your phone.
