Man called claiming to be with the 'computer company' and advised me that my computer had over 9000 viruses and he needed immediate access to fix it. When asking if his scam ever works, he became defensive and told me he was locking me out of my computer...

Call from india scam call center regarding viruses on my computer. Most of these scammers will delete critical files from your computer and say that they fixed the issue. Not only that, they will collect any personal info stored on your computer.

Got through our call blocker. Didn't leave message. Appreciate previous posts ID'ing this scum.

I answered the phone and the caller sounded as though it was coming from India or some other island.  The man said he was calling from "technical support".  I stopped him and said "what company are you calling from?"  He said technical support and it's about your computer and some problems.  I again repeated "what company".  He continued saying there were problems with my computer and I said you are nothing but a scammer and don't call here again because I'm going to report you.  I hung up

Update: Called the number = Survey to win a Caribbean cruise.

I got this call, he's from windows tech support.  I let him go about with his spiel then broke the news to him that I work for Apple and not interested in his scam.   He hung up.

Same story - my computer is sending out virus. Indian man said his name was Dave Brian. Really?  Really?? the number he gave me for call back was 804-729-0060

Same story-It was man with Indian accent. I don't recall him providing his name. He said he was calling from technical support & that it concerning a virus & someone trying to hack into my computer to take my information. He asks me to go to my computer and he would show me. I then asked him what company he was with & how much was this service.  He told me that it was not going to cost me anything and that he was with Microsoft out of California.  I asked him to please hold & went to the internet to check out the phone number. He hung up and called me right back.  I did not answer and preceded to unplug my computer for today.

Said he was from at&t, account was suspended until verified. I entered bogus ssn info and acct info. they put me on hold then hung up  on me

Left message that it was AT&T wireless calling to verify my account

Called and left message. In a masked bounce said dear att customer your account is suspended until further verification....,FYI my account is not susiended

Call said that my AT&T account was suspended.

Received a dubious call saying my number had been "suspended for verification," they tried to forward me to a person but I hung up. When I tried to call my # to check it, the call went to straight to VM. This is a slammer/spammer/phisher. I called ATT, they reset my phone to the closest tower and now it works again. This is a ZTE phone. They also called from a Pennsylvania number 724-920-9990. I blocked both #s.

This number just called claiming my AT&T account is Suspended and wanted me to proceed to restore it.  It wanted me to hit, "1" to do something and "2" to speak to a representative.  I did not proceed further.

I know this is a scam because I am a T-Mobile customer, this WAS an AT&T number, but T-Mobile bought it so that I could keep the same number.  I'm guessing they are calling all cell phones with AT&T exchanges.

Computer voice Said they were from AT&T and my account was suspended pending further verification and wanted me to press 1 or 2 to speak to rep.

They said my phone account was suspended and asked for my last 4 ssn. I gave it stupidly then immediately realized what was going on and hung up. It was a prerecorded message l, so no indian guy.

I got a voicemail saying that my at&t account was suspended, then I called back and that happened.
