ID says Colonial Penn Life Insurance

They called repeatedly and left voice messages saying my verizon account had been cancelled to reactivate I needed to call them back. I blocked caller.

My account is up-to-date. But this is the message I got. Suspected scam.

“Hey Verizon wireless customer your account has been suspended for verification to reactivate your account using the automated system press one to speak to a representative press two…”

I got the same call...is this a scam,  I want to block the number from calling again

Said I had roaming charges of over $900 needed to send me a temporary password that I was to give him so he could cancel the charges.  I blocked him.  This has been on the news in Florida

I got a call from a man that said my Account had been hacked. Really sounded authentic. He ended up locking me out of my account and ordered a high end cell phone through my account. Luckily I was suspicious and tried to log into my account and I was locked out. I called Verizon Service right away and they switched me over to their fraud dept. They had me reset my password and change my user ID and stopped his order for the phone and all is well, except today I got a call from the same guy, not a recording but the real scum bag again, I told him off, big deal lol, and blocked his 800-225-5499 number. I decided that if I ever get a call from someone like that, I will hang up and call their customer service and see if it is real. Do not talk to them and give ANY info to them, hang up and call their customer service and explain what has happened. Both calls he identified himself as Anthony Banks from Verizon Fraud division.

My 11 year old keeps getting calls from this number and his account isn’t even with the real Verizon it’s thru Walmart

Recorded message that my Verizon accout has been suspended. This is a scam fishing for account access information.

I got the same thing.  Now I am getting it from other 800 numbers claiming to be Verizon customer service (automated voice).  It's a scam.  I called Verizon using the 611 and informed them.  They said it's a scam also.  Report these numbers to help other Verizon customers from potentially become a victim.    Make sure you set up alerts on your account to be notified if any unauthorized changes have been made.

Phishing scam; claiming they’re from Version calling about my account. May have fallen for it if I actually had Version and not another carrier.

Automated call saying since I’ve been with Verizon for more then 24 months, I can get a $50 gift card or two months bill credit.

Same scam.  Since I've been with Verizon for more than two years I can get a gift card.  Crooks.  Stay a mile away.

It was a number I didn't recognize, so I let it go to voicemail. Recorded message claimed to be Verizon stating that my account was suspended. I use Verizon, but the account is in my wife's name so the actual Verizon would call her because I'm not even authorized as a contact on the account. Blocked the number.

Scam call says my Verizon account was suspended. Deleted and blocked this # as it’s unsafe.

I got the same call telling me my Verizon account had been suspended. I needed to push 1 to talk to a representative. I don't have a Verizon account! I hung up immediately, looked up the number on this site and saw everyone's post. I'm so tied of the dirt bags that try to scam people.

Someone call me from this number saying my Verizon account was suspended and need to verified my info.  I immediately block the caller!
