Vulgar language repeatedly for over 2 minutes with my simple question of who is calling, and request to be removed from calling line, and the caller became especially nasty telling me to "Go to Hell" and saying I am a "piece of XXXX". I am horrified by the call and was unable to understand the entirety of the call except those type of vulgarities. Call made at 2:18 ET  on 5/11/2020 from 800-225-5935 Wells Fargo.  Perhaps lawsuit should be filed by my law department, to prevent other ladies from being assaulted by this vulgar cursing within their homes.

Just received a call from this number. Apparently they are nothing short on effort. This string started in 2010. Sheesh

Caller ID said WELLS FARGO BNK. Started talking as soon as my answering machine picked up, but the message was so short I only got one word, "one", presumably for "press one". I have never had any accounts with Wells Fargo so I presume it is the aforementioned phishing scam and I will be blocking the number.

Said wanted to lower my credit card interest. When I said that I had no credit card balances he said that I have maybe had problems earlier and that they could help with debt consolidation. I told him that I had zero debt and he hung up.

This call seemed to have started back in 2010.  Now it is starting up again.  In my case no message was left and the caller ID was invalid number.

This number is actually the real number for Wells Fargo.  It is spoofed by credit card phishers to get personal information.  It is the old "Rachel" scam.  Is anyone still falling for it?

Who are you going to fine a lawsuit against? You need their legal name and business address for that lawsuit, you know. It wasn't actually Wells Fargo that called you.

Criminal scum from a call center in India via the internet - spoofing a Wells Fargo business services number to try and scam Americans.  This is not Wells Fargo calling you - it is foreign criminals.  Just hang up.
"This is an important message regarding your current credit card account. We have made several attempts to reach you. This is your final courtesy call before we are unable to lower your credit card interest rate. Press 1 to speak to the member services department or press 2 and your eligibility to lower your rates will expire."

There are 1/2 - 1 million call centers in India, and at least half are criminal.  They spoof all the large US financial companies phone numbers so that your caller ID shows a bank.  The automatic message was recorded over a decade ago and is sold/leased along with the computer autodialing equipment to thousands of criminals.  India will not prosecute them, they enjoy the foreign revenue.  You cannot find them, and they are beyond the reach of US laws.  We cannot stop them until Congress enables and requires the phone companies to build in restrictions, but US lobbyists at the Direct Marketing Association do not want any process that might impact domestic telemarketing.

Duh...  they call because they're criminals, and criminals don't follow rule of law, including DNC!  Wise up, learn to recognize the typical CIDs of scam callers, and ignore the calls.  Use your Call Screening to filter their calls, as well.  If a robber knocked on your door and said you should let them in, would you open the door just because they demanded it?  No!  Then why are you indiscriminately answering every scam call you get?  Wells Fargo doesn't care if their number is spoofed, and can't do much about it because these calls are from India.  You need to become more defensive, just as you are in real life.  Stop putting yourself in a vulnerable position.  And as for DNC...  their biggest job is self-perpetuation.  They can't keep up.  It's up to you to learn to ignore these calls, don't give out personal information on the phone, either.  Don't speak to them.

I get threatening calls daily stating it's my last chance to lower my interest rate. Pretending to be Wells Fargo, whom I have no dealings with, nor want no dealings with. I'm on the Do Not Call list

These are criminals from India, pretending to be Wells Fargo.  Criminals from India do not give a darn about our DNC List.  Please stop thinking that our DNC List is going to work against criminals.  This is about the oldest scam out there.  Do not answer or do not give them any personal info.
These idiots call me all the time.  I just keep blocking.  But they keep calling, using a different number and name, all spoofed of course.
