Please tell me how you did this.  I cant afford to pay my debt, much less hire a defense attny.  I was frightened to hear they the credit card company was taking me to court.  I dont want to lose the little money I have.  Could you recommend the person you represented you.  Thank YOu.

I am also sued by Forster & Garbus... cannot afford to hire an attorney...
In the first lawsuit (I have 2) they managed to get a Default Judgment (using a false Affidavit of Service), the judgment was later vacated but I still have to go to trial.

I have been called over the years by this company as no name listed on caller id I asked Tim I think he was from this country. They are not looking for me but someone with same last name. Illegal harrassment for them to do this. FCC will do nothing FTC says get name address and send them letter telling them to stop calling. Then they will fine them. How do you get them to take you out of data base.
Third rate collection agency to call with unlisted number asking ??? about someone else. I can get to this office as  I will show them in real time how much injury they have caused me. Third rate collection agency. They should be sued for harrasment as I am not playing anymore.

This company has repeatly caaled my home looking for some one who dose not reside here. Very very rude.I called th Fedral Trade Comission and filed a complaint. I suggest all that hve been harnessed by them do the same.

Thanks for the heads up! I'm getting to the point where I'm going to have to declare bankruptcy soon. It's not the end, it's just a new beginning. Lost my job - got one that paid HALF of what I WAS MAKING then my disability took over my health. And life will go on!

I have a debt that this company handles and I must say they are quite professional and have even worked with me to help settle the debt. I make a monthly, affordable payment with them and on occasion I've had to call to "skip a month" due to our losing income in our household. They have always been helpful and allowed us to skip a month when we needed to. I'm happy to say that I deal directly with one person, Chris Cook, and he is awesome. Well, as awesome as a debt collector could be, but he is professional, kind, understanding and I'm happy to say that my debt has gone from over 2K to just about $400.00. Believe it or not, if more bill collector's conducted business like they do, companies would retrieved their money faster. So, if they are calling you for a legitimate debt, deal with them.

I also got a letter in the mail from an attorney stating "it has come to our attention that through the County Court records that you have been named as a Defendant in a lawsuit recently filed by Discover Bank. It is possible that the process server has not yet served you. It is our understanding that the creditor is seeking a judgement against you for $xx,xxx.xx due on the account, plus..." The letter is "advertising material" from Rodier Law Offices, Inc."

My question is, how can a lawsuit be filed against me if I haven't been served any papers? In any case, I lost my job and I'm disabled. I live on a limited income and can barely pay my monthly bills as it is. I guess I'm going to have to go down the bankruptcy route soon.

Today I went to take money out of the bank to pay something only to find that Forster and Garbus froze my account. After obtaining their phone # from the bank I called them and tried to reason with them. They informed me that they will be taking all the money in the account on April 30th unless I go to the bank tomorrow and authorize then to be able to take out $3000 in which case they will let me keep the remaining $2400. What kind of bull is that??? I can't even believe this!

got a letter from this lawyers firm stating we can help! he called me and wanted 400 now to save me from court proceedings,, good thing I waited,,, 5 days later when I tryed to call them back,, there are no lawyers with that name or number anywhere in the Toledo area,, hmmm,,,the number he used is 1800 505 7754,, if you get a letter from these ppl,, dont use it!! its a scam!!!the name used is,,,rodiel

Google FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act).  It's the 1st one. It's helped me in the past. The website is:

Received a call from extension 263 regarding an important call

the worst are Pressler & Pressler; like any others they just want your blood they do not care about any thing else than collect the money from you, after they bought your account from the credit cards company.
I still do not understand how the court and our state are permitted them get away with such vandalism, they can do any thing they want, even take all the money from your bank, even sent the sheriff to you house and no one is stopping them, is all a fraud involving the law that play, when you are in a hole in the first place because of the economy and the unemployment situation, I do not know where with going this way, and still are people who they ask them self why they heat us so much.

I have asked repeatedly to stop calling.  They have my phone number and are trying to reach someone else.

Is Rodier Law Offices and Forster and Garbus LLP related???? I recvd a summons filed againest me by forster and Garbus law firm and Rodie law office sent to me a advertisment notice staing i would recvd a summons with in a day or 2 and i did.  Are this to firms connected????
