heres the deal!!!! i called comcast, i demanded to talk to a superviser or management who could answer this question. HOW AND WHY do telemarketers have my new # before i had a chance to give it to anyone. it was lunch time so i got the run around but i was polite to the girl and she transfered me to the only person she could find to deal with it after i refused to give up and waited 45 minutes on hold. i talk to a lady in sales. she told me that when you sign up for any phone your info is public unless you specify that it be unpublished unlisted. well i had!!! she said it was not on my account that way and she would change my new # for free. it would still be $4.50 a month for the unpublished feature. i told her to forget it i would work on the DNC registry and telemarkerter individually to see if i can get it on my own. she said shed make a note and the offer would stand for 60 days. i can call back. i dont know, is it worth it to pay the extra every month and still get the calls.
