I know this is a scam. - MA replies to NAHow do you know it is a scam, I just got a text. I have called a few numbers and they wanted me to pay upfront. Mine was with Capella. I am not sure now what dept. would clear it. I did file a complaint on the FASA website.
- Natalia KuzdzalI’m not going to call this number. I also have loans with capella, which I have filed a complaint regarding. This was before the department of education was basically defunded. So just be aware this could be a scam, most likely not legit.

Federal student loan discharge program for students who were misled by Strayer University
Dear Judith,
The Department of Education has opened a filling period for a program to discharge federal student loans. We may have assisted you in the past with your forgiveness program to lower your monthly payment and put you on a path to having your student loans forgiven. I noticed that you attended Strayer University, which has been added to the list of predatory schools that qualify for a discharge. This means you would have a great chance to have your loans possibly dismissed within 12-36 months if you were misled by them.
If any of these grievances apply to you based on your school experience, you can apply.
Your school has shut down.
School has lost its accreditation.
Misled or denied the ability to transfer your credits.
Misled about salary expectations in your field of study.
No disclosure on the cost of your education.
Misled about job placement after graduation.
You are not working in field of study or employment was not found through the school.
If you have federal student loans with the lenders Navient, Great Lakes, Fedloan, Nelnet, American Education Services, Mohela, or Sallie Mae Cornerstone your loans are qualified to apply for these programs the Department of Education have opened for students who were misled by the school they attended.
Please call 424 231 4818 for more information
To see if your student loan qualifies for student loan discharge, please call the Students Service Center Monday through Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm at 424 231 4818.
*If you have already filed a claim with the Department of Education, please disregard this email. You should have been provided a reference number that will allow you to track your loans during the progress of your discharge.*- Caller: Sterling Jensen
