This number says they are Capital One Master Card.   They have way too much personal information.
They are trying to collect on charged off bills.  This what they told me.

Message to call same ph# 800-272-9756 ext 2710303 senior officer Steve from Capital One Mastercard. Two messages so far. Called Cap1, no such number. Also caller asking for slightly different name from mine. Definitely a scumbag operation. Note, call said coming from Virginia, United States, 804-588-4755. *Note, also same caller left message to call the 800-272-9756 ph#.

Got a call from same number saying he was Fred Tiber calling in behalf of Capital One and trying to collect on an in paid bill. ALL A SCAM !!!

Caller Said he was Scott Kerikow (sp?) who was looking for me or someone I don't know about a master card that I don't have. Caller ID said he was calling from 804-588-4755. Definitely a scam.

I keep receiving calls from different numbers all over the US but they all ask me to call 800-272-9756 back. They miss pronounce my name each time. They have been harassing my grandmother and sister looking for me. I called capital one on Monday and they don't even have those numbers listed on my account and said that they haven't been trying to reach me because I have been paying my account on time monthly.

I had 14 voice messages on my cell phone  from "Tommy" at extension 5215673 supposedly at Capital One about a MasterCard. The messages are for someone I have never heard of. I have had the cell phone for many years. Probably a scam. I don't have a MasterCard or any business with Capital One.

This is Capital One trying to collect a bad debt.  This is a legit phone number from their debt collection dept so trying to send a cease and desist letter won't do anything.  They are also scandalous in calling other family and friends trying to locate you.

Also got 3 messages from “capital one” saying to call them at 1800-272-9756. They had half my name correct. I called the real capital one number off my statement & they said that number isn’t in their database of legit capital one numbers.

Received a voicemail from "Capital One" for someone I know regarding a Mastercard. Not sure why they called me, but I called back to get my number removed. I hope they don't bother me anymore.

Call from 804-588-4755 - caller ID said it was Capital One. Message left stating her name was Michelle Tucker and the message was for Paypal.  Said they wanted me to call back 800-272-9756 at extension 5215578 to let me be away of the "business decision regarding the Visa".  Uhhh - my name isn't Paypal and I don't know what paypal has to do with Capital One.  After reading the comments here, won't call back.

got a call from them regarding our Capital One Visa.  Wouldn't give any further information until I verified mailing address and DOB.  I refused and said I'd call Capital One back and he gave this number.  I then called Capital One directly and they said nothing on my account to trigger a call.

Called restricted, left voicemail, said was Dave from capital one bank and he is taking over and need to call him back about capital one mastercard. Taking over what, idk!? Left number 1 800 272 9756 ext. 5215623. Not calling back. Looked up capital one numbers and doesn't show this number for anything.

Keep calling and leaving messages and I don’t even have a Capital One account. I get one call every other day , I have never called them back.

I do have a Capital One Auto Loan, however, Jammina Brown called about my Master Card. I don't have a Capital One Credit Card, so there is nothing to pay off, and actually, I'm ahead on my auto loan so, Nope try again didn't work. Probably the people who tried to file unemployment using my ID.
