I received a call from this number not knowing what it was, but did not answer. My wife had used our Barclay card for appliance repair while I was out. We generally don't use the card and my wife told me she received a counter-fraud check email from Barclay as well afterwards,  so I am assuming the comments here are accurate about the 800 number being valid.

They said they were fraud protection alert from my credit card company. I hung up and called the number on my card. Turned out to be a scam . Don't give them information.

Received a call from the above number and yes, it was a legit call. I did have,a fraudulent charge on my Barclay card.

Shill alert! There is no logical reason for you to look up a known phone number, especially since scammers spoof legitimate phone numbers all the time.

I just contacted Barclay's which is behind the Wyndham Reward Visa nad (800) 279-7061 is NOT one of their numbers.  I am reporting this to the FTC.  Don't interact with this number just hang up.
FYI THIS IS A FRAUD.
