This is legitimate, they were calling about an alarm going off at work.

Yes, TYCO (was ADT) calling about an alarm.

ADT consistently calls me for the past 3 months. I have asked them to stop calling me over 20 times.
I have reported them to donotcall.gov -- and they still do not stop calling.

This is not legit they called me for places I didn't live at or work at.

some dude naming himself Muhamed called at12:12 talking about they have been notified an alarm was going off at a " Hastings" saying authorities have been notified.... asking to speak to a "Matt" i don't even know a Matt.... let alone when understand this dudes broken [***] Arabic accent! I asked for someone who speaks e English, for disconnected..
He called back and couldn't get it through his head that i had nothing and knew nothing of the shenanagans he spoke off

Yes, where do you people work at, we are a DEA integrated company with very sensitive material.  Top security only using this specific line

This number called my company and they call all the time and the lady was not nice at all ..i dont know who they are or why they keep caliling and they keep asking fotr my information, is this a scam?

They are not calling you to solicit anything.  If you are not part of a management chain that is responsible to respond to alarm events, then more than likely your number was mistakenly given to them by a company that does use them.   The person that is calling you does not have the authority to take your number off of the "list" because it was given to them directly from one of their clients as a contact number for alarm events.  If you want to get the number removed from their calling list the easiest way is going to be for you to find out the company they are calling for and then contact that company and ask for who ever handles their security systems and ask that person to correct the error.

Funny that you have to have our info to remove our number, but when I ask for the # of who hired you to call when there is an alarm going off you won't give me that info. That is bullsh--. You wake me up at midnight or later and can't give me who hired you. Get ready for a suit if this keeps up. sincerely one very mad half away citizen.

This is so stupid. I not only have one business they are calling for but about 7!!!! I am not the one that should have to call each of these businesses and waste many hours getting these numbers and calling each one!!!! They call all hours, while I'm at work, midnight, sometimes 7x a night!!!! What am I to do??????

ADT, either them of the company I work for do not update the phone numbers. They had me as a to call  number when the alarm goes off. Two years after I left the company and still they call me each time it goes off.

This is legitimate. It is Tyco Integrated Security (ADT) calling to notfy you of an alarm event. I am a Security Officer, and they call my duty phone whenever we have an alarm. If you are using a company phone, and they call asking for someone else, you need to have your manager update the contact information. Same thing goes if they are calling you, when you no longer work there. They are not allowed to change any of the contact information without the consent of the person that is in charge of the account.

This call came at 1:30 AM.  I hung up before the guy with broken English could complete a sentence, because I was asleep and didn't want to hear from an 800 #.  This is a private cell # that he called & I have never been affiliated w/ ADT in any way.

This number is legit (TYCO / ADT) though the number they have on file (your number) may not be. They called me while AT&T were messing around with my phone line on an unrelated issue at work. Seems scammy because the first thing they do is ask for your credentials due to the nature of their business (security) but it's just to make sure you are an authorized contact. If you are not an authorized contact I would suggest having them mention it to someone else in their contact list as they usually have 2-3 contacts. Hope this helps you sleep at night,

Received a call at 5am didn't answer but googled the number and saw it was ADT.  I am listed as a contact number for my parents alarm system so I called my parents to make sure they were ok.  No alarms were going off at their location and they were fine.  I'm guessing my number was miss dailed or something.

I keep receiving unwanted calls from phone number (800) 289-2647 including one tonight (1/27/15) at 10:40 pm est

Please take my name and number of this call list.  I have been retired  Aug. 2014.

I received this call at home.  It came up as TYCOIS.  Hubby is on the contact list for work alarm, but the alarm didn't go off at work.  So we don't know why we received this call as hubby didn't answer-could be marketing.
