- BigA replies to SichuanDoes this mean that every time I call a number that connects to someone that I know, I should look it up and then report it here? For instance if I call the local Pizza Hut or Domino's for a delivery, should I look up their number and report that I called them? Just trying to follow your lead, after all you must do that to every number you call as well. No doubt you just wanted to be sure that the number on that card Chase sent you was really them right? I can see how you would have your doubts, after all, it was probably pretty amazing you got a credit card at all.
Please, there would have been absolutely no reason in the world to look this number up knowing that you used it to activate your alleged card. Take your scam somewhere else because you can't make anyone believe it here. - ddcalled this number activate my chase card but it keeps trying to sell me a medical device. clearly a scame. Very concerning to have it show up on a chase card.
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- Anne| 3 repliesCalled this number to activate Chase debit card, customer rep had very strong accent I couldn't understand anything they were saying, so I hung up and called again. Second time, the automated phone system tried to selling vacation packages or other products. Hung up, called again then the caller ID showed "Tracy Supply" but the system was talking about Chase. Hung up and will go to back to activate instead... This is either scam or ridiculous Chase customer service.
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- BigA replies to Anne| 2 repliesWhen you call a phone number to activate a credit card you get a recording that asks you for certain information. You never get an actual living person. I have no doubt that you called the wrong number 3 times in a row and are not smart enough to realize that because this does seem to be the activation number for a Chase Debit Card.
- My Sterious replies to BigA| 1 replyAnne is correct about the number showing Tracy Supply as the caller ID name. I tried it numerous times and received the same caller ID name. And, no, I did not miss dial the number. The call did go to Chase but since the caller ID did not match, I reported it to Chase. A bank that size needs to be sure their caller ID is correct. I am sure you will throw an insulting remark to me as you have done to others.
- SaundrahI called this number to activate my Chase Debit card and when it was ringing it comes on caller ID as Tracy Supply. I hung up and googles Tracy Supply which is a company from CA that does business on Amazon. When I called back it says Chase, but is listed as Tracy Supply. I asked to speak to representative and was transferred to the customer service # 1 800 935 9935. Told them about this, but no one seemed to care - Chase needs to be made aware. I will write a letter.
- Miss cautious replies to My SteriousI agree with the above, I called the number twice and each time the caller ID said Tracy Supply. I thought I may have miss dialed the first time but I know I didn't because it showed the exact same thing the second time. Unlike others, I received an automated message asking me for my information. I hung up both times, went to my local chase to active his ATM. I spoke with a rep there and showed them the number printed on the label and what it said on my caller ID. They did inform me that the number does not exist in the Chase system and were concerned that I entered my information. Lucky for me I did not.
