I requested info for my mother and I asked directly before giving my information if I would be contacted by phone. I was told no.  Well, less than a week after I received the brochure in the mail (which contained no pricing information, another question I asked before giving my address), I received my first phone call.  I told the very nice lady that I did not want to be contacted by phone so to be polite I took her name and number and stated I would call her if and when I required Life Alert services.  She assured me she would put my number on a do not call list.  A few days later, I received another phone call from someone else.  I told her I was on a do not call list for Life Alert.  She was very polite and apologized and that was that.  Finally, the other night  I recieved my third call from Life Alert.  Her name was Aneta Daniel (sp) and the number was 1-800-294-4553.  I told her that I was on the do not call list and stated I would be reporting the matter to the appropriate authorities if the phone calls from Life Alert did not stop.  She became irate, raised her voice,  argued with me, told me I could report it to whomever I wanted to, etc.  I finally hung up the phone out of frustration.  I immediately called to number for corporate headquarters in California.  I spoke with a gentlemen who checked and did find my number on the do not call list.  I explained what had happened with Ms. Daniel.  He stated he knew her supervisor and would investigate the matter.  I also stated at this point I would never consider or recommend Life Alert to anyone as I feel I was treated inappropriately.

I, too, called Life Alert and informed them that I had contracted with a local organization for similar services for my father and would not be purchasing Life Alert's services.  My father continued to receive calls from them, and I called again and asked that they cease calling my father.  He is suffering from mild dementia, and does not know how to respond to these calls.  This is an annoyance to me and to my father and I would not purchase services from this company, given their failure to respond to my requests that they stop bothering me and my father, and I recommend that others also consider not doing business with them.  Pete Moller is the caller.

I called Life Alert in response to a tv ad and asked for a brochure.  I think its a valuable service but.... I am yet to receive a brochure and instead have received a consistent drip of phone calls.

Keep harassing the living hell out of my mother after my mother contacted them for an informational brochure.  Keeps saying they need a "couple more items of information".... "couple more items of information".... "couple more items of information" until my mother is now extremely upset! Damned idiots do not need any information other than name + address to send a brochure.  Both she and the neighbor were not just interested, but flat out planning on getting it (neighbor fell the ONE time she didn't have phone with her and was stuck for a while); not now. The business and idiots calling can go straight to hell and burn!!  She's now keeping track of the calls and said she's going to contact Consumer Protection and report them for the repeated calls as little as THREE MINUTES apart.

Might add she never has received a brochure - morons!!!

I called life alert from the TV advert and requested a brochure a week ago. On 2/3/2016 had phone call from gentleman with all the details quoted 59.95 per month after first payment of 90.00 to set things up. Looked on line the highest they charge is 35.95. per month and my daughter in law said her father paid that price for his mother. 2/4/2016 another phone call from the same person Andrew or Anthony asked him about the difference in price he said Life Alert do not have a price of 35.95 and on what website did I see this.I have looked again and the price is the same as I told him, I also asked him where my brochure would be arriving.

One way to discourage them is to have a radio close by and when they call, just lay the phone on top of the radio and it should make a lot of static, when they get tired of listening to that they will stop soon.

I made the HUGE mistake of inquiring about their product. Now they call me multiple times a day. I blocked their number on my phone's but they continue to call. My call block software records info on incoming blocked calls so I have a verifiable list of their harrassed. I've sent this list to the Ohio Attorney General's office for their action since before blocking them I told them nicely, and later not so nicely, to stop calling. I hope the backing of the law will make them pay attention.

I'm 74 live alone and made the mistake of calling "Life Alerts," for info.
After listening to a droning phony salesman "Abe", for what seemed like forever, I politely said I wasn't interested given the exorbitant costs. I have been inundated multiple times a day ever since with calls.

I agree wholeheartedly with your message to Life alert. I am also going to the same thing. I have asked them m not to call me again but they keep trying and I just keep hanging up so now they have written me a postcard and want me to call them. They do not seem to want to give up. I have already gotten a med alert which is only a third the cost of Life alert.
