- SP| 1 replyI have received several calls that claim to be tax specialists. Ethan Cole is one of the names they use. They are supposedly calling from the Tax Resolution Oversight Department. I have not called them back, but they keep calling and leaving messages stating that there is still money available in my state to help me consolidate and possibly pay off any back taxes owed, but I must contact them by the end of the year.

- Pudge replies to Marcie CohenThese spammers have nothing to do with the IRS. They are just calling in the hopes of getting some poor soul to buy into their nonsense. Report the number to your carrier as SPAM. That should, at least, keep it from ringing through.
- AnnoyedCall came from 502-862-8504 but instruction is to call the 800# I am reporting. As all that have posted before, I've been receiving these scam calls for months. I've seen varying names attached (Ethan was one of them), but this last one has no name. Also, all calls come through as some other number than the 800-callback # in the voicemail and reported here.

As I'm sure is the case with the previous reporters of this number, I do not have ANY unresolved tax issues. Pure fraud/scam.- Caller: No Name

- MikeThey have called from different numbers, mostly recently 833-520-0401. It is the same recording as others have said above.
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- JA replies to SPI have received exactly the same message from "Ethan Cole" or sometimes from what seems like an AI woman's voice. Obviously scam as IRS website says they'll only contact you by mail!
- JHSame as all the other posters. Multiple calls per day with a recorded message from “Ethan Cole” from the “Tax Resolution department”.
I have blocked, reported, and requested removal countless times and still the calls come from new numbers leaving the 800 number in the recording.
I’ve asked for a US mailing address and they’ve stated they “do not have one”. So I asked them where I should send the cease and desist for harassing spam calls & they hang up.- Caller: Ethan Cole Tax Resolution Department

- David GustafsonI’ve received multiple call from different numbers that provide 800-294-9424 as the call back number. The calls claim that my delinquent tax records could be helped by engaging their service. I’ve called that number informing them that I have no tax issues and can remove my number from their list…yet I get calls every day.
- Caller: Claim to be tax resolution.
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- jack read replies to Marcie Cohenditto im losing it Ethan Cole every fn day ive probably blocked 25 phone numbers
- MikeThey change numbers daily but leave the 800 number on this chain. Even when you block whatever number pops up, it calls from a different one.

- Yorlenny replies to Marcie Cohen| 2 repliesI called back today pulling the ol “okay what’s your name number and website, I’ll have your email too” I’m learning how to verify real numbers and email addresses (definitely difficult) but they gave me their name, I then responded that “I’m trying to understand why you are calling my number, people need to have their phone lines be clear of spam in order to receive and not miss important calls; so what is your website and email?”
And this “ms. Estra” or something immediately said “ okay we’ll put your name down for the “no call” list.
I’m very neurotically challenged and would love to make more announcement and word spreading to inform others on how to reclaim their phone lines. - Nimrod replies to YorlennyThat might get you some good results when calling the given callback number, but think twice about calling the number shown on the Caller ID display unless it is mentioned as a callback number. The Caller ID numbers are often spoofed and calling it back could connect you with an innocent person who knows nothing about the call you received. You could end up annoying them and having your number reported here as a scammer (especially if they do not bother to answer).
I wish you luck in getting your phone line clear of spam and scams. - Tavares replies to Marcie Cohenthey call me about everyday its frustrating because they spoof the number they are calling from so blocking them wont help, but any number calling thats not in my contacts are sent right to voicemail
- Tavares| 1 replyI call them back to harass them, all that have answered have heavy indian accents, so they probably are based in india, i ask them to not call me again and they ay they will remove my number but i still get calls from them, they are so rude as well, i called them back and ask where are they headquartered and they said California, i seriously doubt since all didnt have american accents... i have submitted a copmplaint to the FTC and ive not heard back

Strange, all the people that work in my dentist's office have heavy Indian accents, yet I do not have to fly to India to get my annual checkup. Your callers can be doing their scamming domestically, do not be a racist.Tavares wrote:... all that have answered have heavy indian accents, so they probably are based in india ...
If you had bothered to read what the FTC posts with their online form, you would have known that they do not reply to individual reports unless they require additional information. They post press releases when they take action against anyone.Tavares wrote:i have submitted a copmplaint to the FTC and ive not heard back - Krestis replies to YorlennyThis doesn't work. I've been doing this for months with "Ethan Cole" from the "Tax Resolution Department". Have asked for the mailing address, or email address and was told they "don't have that". I have reported them to the FTC; marked every call as "spam"; I've even just wasted their phone center scammers time by calling repeatedly from a google phone number (on their 800 number) out of pure pettiness.
I have been told countless times I would be taken off their call list. Nothing works. They call 6+ times per day now.
Like everyone else here, I have no outstanding tax debt.
