Call number back rang once, received call failed

McAfee follow up call re: my tech support request.

NO MESSAGE

McAfee woked with me last night on computer issues.  This morning at 7AM I had call from this number, but apparently they must hire people from Eastern countries, India, etc because I couldn't understand a word the person said, and so I thought it was just one of those scamming Windows calls, until I came here and see that it is McAfee which makes sense they would call, but why don't they hire people who speak English?

I too worked with McAfee to resolve several issues, and have received 3 calls from this number with only "Toll Free Number" as the CID, but they do not leave a message.  I would never trust an incoming caller as being legitimately McAfee... I always call them back at a known support number, not any number they provide in an incoming call.  Kind of a non-issue here, because we don't answer callers who leave no message.

The same happens to me.

Why Indian or Pakistan employees?  It's about the cost.

I did an online chat last night with McAfee. It's irritating to find out it's them but they didn't leave a message.

I also had an online conversation with McAfee yesterday about a couple of issues that were not resolved.  Now, I too received a call from this 800 number that CID's as "Toll Free". Only after reading previous comments did I discover it was McAfee.   I did not answer and, as other's have said, this person spoke with such a heavy accent I could not understand a word of the message left on my machine.   I will never understand why legitimate companies that call can't have their name identifying them rather than toll free, out of area, or some other nondescript name show up.  My local paper also uses this non-identifying id and I asked them about this but didn't get a really solid answer.  But, as with any no name caller or even named ones that I do not recognize, I do not answer but check it out first so I don't have to be rude, which I am very good at, but mainly so I do not have to deal with all the idiot calls that I get every day all day!
