These guys are telemarketers They usually contract with Discount Health Plans to suck in customers. They will tell you whatever they think you want to hear inorder to get access to your checking account. When you find out you are not getting insurance but the slim chance of a discount when you pay your medical in cash upfront; then they don't want to take your phone calls. So, let the buyer beware!

"Melissa" from American Health Brokers called me at 8:08 a.m. today (Saturday morning) and left a message on my answering machine saying she "called in response to your online healthcare application".  That's BS!  I never applied for healthcare online.  She asked that we call her at 800-317-4701.  That's one call I'll never make.  And by the way, our phone number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry. People like Melissa are the reason why I never answer my phone.  I listen while the answering machine records the caller and decide if I want to pick up and speak with them.  Most telemarketers just hang up on my machine.

Received a call from Richard, with America’s Health Brokers saying that he had received my online request for health insurance (which I never made). He also said that I had been approved for immediate coverage and that they were accepting all pre-existing conditions. Lucky me!

I actually received 4 calls from this # but was only left a message once.

I find it ironic that I received the calls the day after Congress approved the Healthcare Bill. Coincidence? I think not. My guess is that these people are running a scam trying to get some of your financial information or something. I also say this because that same day I also received 14 calls from another company trying to sell me insurance.

I will say this though, at least with Richard, the # he wanted me to call him at matched the # he called me from.

Got a call 5 minutes after getting another call from another number. Both callers asked for my husband by first name. First caller said my husband had requested health insurance quotes. This caller hung up when I said my husband is not here. SO annoying.

I found a site online where many people had fallen for this scam because they were so desperate for health coverage.

I phoned the state insurance monitoring agency and they said there are NO insurance companies covering pre-existing conditions.
Also beware of Medical Insuranc salesman saying they are licensed insurance agent from Florida and offer $449 plan, covers existing pregnancy and you get MONEY BACK :)......If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is......

These people want your money and you definitely won't get any coverage.  Stay far far away.

I have been looking for health/dental/ and vision insurance for my family of 4. A guy by the name of Carl called me at 8pm to quote me insurance with US Health Group PPO. He told me that I would have no deductible and that my office visit would be $10-$20 and that I would only have a $5 prescription copay. He told me that for $279 a month that I can get a 70%/30% coinsurance that covered health, dental and vision. I thought this was too good to be true so I did a little research on US Health Group. Turns out, its a scam. DO NOT BUY INSURANCE WITH THESE PEOPLE. I'm so glad that I did not give these people my information.

So glad I did my research before I "purchased health insurance." I submitted a quote online and before I even got the notice that it had been submitted I recieved a phone call. The guys name is Ralph. He gave me a quote for maternity coverage, dental, vision, with 0 deducatible for $279 with a $99 application fee with no waiting period. It sounded perfect! Luckily I always review things with my husband before I buy. The number he called me from is a cell phone. I had every intention of purchasing the policy until I decided to research first. Shame on them for trying to take advantage of people!

Here is what happened. I am looking for insurance for my son. This number 301-917-3101 called me and Frank Grayson was on the line. He stated my son was approved for a plan called US Health Group through Cigna. Part of Freedom Life Insurance Of American and Affiliated Workers Assn. Lots of names. He said he was eligible for a PPO Multi-plan with no referrals and he could use any doctor or hospital. It covers doctor visits, hospital, RX, ER care, critical care, surgery, dental, vision and life insurance. So then he says it is a no deductible plan and it has a 30 day free look period. So my Spidey senses are now going off big time and then he states it is only $239.00 a month with a $99.00 application fee. I had to maintain my calmness at this point and I asked if I could have a number to call him back or have my son call him. He gave me 1-800-317-4701 x335.

I then proceeded to call Cigna to ask about this company and as I expected I found they had nothing to do with them. Two good things I got out of this was 1. looking on this site and 2. finding out how my son could get coverage through Cigna, a real insurance company by calling them directly. Eliminate the stress and just call the insurance companies directly.

My husband has two chronic illnesses & we are desperate for affordable coverage for both of us.  After filling out an online open application to get quotes, I began receiving calls from so many numbers.  Like flies on poo, they were all over us.  This one guy Tom Barritt with America's Health Brokers seemed too good to be true.  Which usually ends up being just that.  He told me we could automatically get approved with US Health Group who are partners with Cigna, CBS Pharmecy and Mutual of Omaha for only $219.00 a month plus a one time fee of $99.00.  My first red flag was no deductible, no copay.  I even made the comment to him that that was unheard of.  The second red flag was that he wanted me to pay the first month using a debit or credit card.  He also said he wanted to call back when I was with my husband so we could get online to look at their website.  I thank God I googled & found this page before we talked to him again & went to his page because I feel if we had done so we would've feel for this scam.  What upsets me even more is he told me he tries to help the people out the best he can & be honest, also he told me "God Bless" at the end of the conversation & every voicemail he left me.  May God have mercy on YOU sir for cheating people who are struggling out of hard earned money.

I just got off the phone with this Tom Barrett....I have been looking for insurance for 4 months and have been turned down by everyone, due to pre-existing conditions.  So when i got the call from him and he started telling me that I was approved with no Deductible, No Co-pay, and all of my DR's were on "their"/Cigna's network I was sooo happy....I have a pituitary tumor which effects my hormones, asthma, and had back surgery....So now you know why I was denied by all and excited about his call....I told him that I will have to speak with my mother because she would be paying the monthly premium for me, he then gave me his phone number and extension....So that is when i sat down and entered the number into google and came to this website....Thank god!!! my red flags started and I research everything....What really made my buzzers go off is when i asked not once but three times for the information to be sent to my email...His answer was "you wouldn't understand it", and that we can conference your mother in on the phone and the computer....This is terrible that these "wolves is sheeps clothing" prey on vulnerable people like myself whom is sick and needs the coverage...The funny thing is I was suppose to call him back in 7 minutes, but that is one call I will not be making....Isn't it against the law to lie and say they are affiliated with a company such as Cigna, CVS etc....They are using these companies names without their permission in order to get ahold of someones bank accounts....They would have loved to get ahold of my parents account, but I guess he didn't think I was as smart as I am...I hope that others aren't scammed by this, be smart and proactive and research before you give out your personal information.......

This is NOT a scam. I just purchased this health care for a secondary insurance for my myself and my son. I recieved a huge packet in the mail with my insurance cards and books of explanations of coverage. I haven't used it yet so it might suck BUT it is NOT a scam. I did over 3 hours worth of research on Americas Health Brokers and on US Health Group and the Multi Plan network and this web-site is the only site that said scam. But I see no where on this site that someone paid the premium and did not receive coverage. Stop spreading rumors. Again, the insurance might suck, haven't used ityet, but it IS insuarnce.
