800-317-9071

Caller left a message asking to call back, said it was Wachovia. I closed my account more than a year ago with them, and I didn't receive anything in the mail. Did anyone else receive this call?

I just got the same message on my answering machine and I don't think I ever had an account at Wachovia.  What's worse, they asked for me by my maiden name.  That hasn't been my name in almost 10 years and never at my present phone number.  The caller ID says 800-708-5224 and it says "800 service".  When I called back it said to call back during business hours, but the call was left after 5:30 p.m.

Got call again today & tried to answer it. They're asking for some guy I have no idea who he is, never known anyone by the name being asked for. When I answered recording said "if this isn't the person press 1;if this is the person press 0" I'd already tried the pressing 1 thing & then got a message to "tell Mr ___ to call 800-317-9071". So today I pressed 0-got a "your call may be monitored" followed by a fast busy signal. So I called the number back & got Sonya who got the blast of "I'm tired of you calling my number for someone I don't know and has never lived here!" She asked for the number being called, then asked me if I knew him(which I said NO!) then she said she was taking it out of the system & it would take 24 hrs for it to take effect. We'll see......any more calls & I'm calling Wachovia Corporate office & letting THEM have it! Can ya tell I'm ticked? LOL WAYYYYYYYYYYYY too many calls-daily for months and this is the 2nd time I've asked to be removed.
