They didn't call, but I received an email from "Geek Squad" with this number on it. The email claimed that I had a protection plan with "Geek Squad", and that it would renew the following day with the credit card on file for $299.99. This is a SCAM. DO NOT GIVE YOUR CARD NUMBER.

This was the contact phone number in an email  received from "Geek Squad" for a $299.99 protection plan to be charged to my credit csrd on February 9.  It's not from the real "Geek Squad"; it's a scam.

I got an email from the “Geek Squad”, saying that my charge card will be charged for USD $299.99 on February 6, 2021 for another year protection.  This will allow you to protect all of your devices with fully new account benefits.

I got an email saying my protection plan was renewed for $299.99 for another year. This is the number on the email. Scam!!

I got this same email. Looks official but went to my junk mail, was from: noreply@bestbuyemailconfirmation.com

This is a scam caller who said that I had a $299.99 bill from the Geek Squad for a computer protection plan that I didn't order. Don't give them your credit card number for them to supposedly remove those charges.
Hang up immediately.

So wait, they don’t actually have any of our information? It seems like I’ve been getting these emails for a couple weeks now.

No, they have nothing until you call them up and give them access to your computer and/or your credit card info in order for them to "help" you.

I got an email saying that my Geek squad protection plan had renewed for $99.99 I called and asked what it was for and what cc they charged on and they said they couldn't go over that over the phone but they sent another linx with information. That email went to the virus blocker and they wanted me to open it.  I asked my son about it and he said not to cuz that's how they get your information. I was trying to do it on my iPad and the guy said not to. It was supposed to be from my computer. That's why I thought it was fishy.  So I hang up.

CAUTION  -   SCAM  -  If you call this number, someone will ask you to give them access to your computer.   Reeks of SCAM.

Just received my scam email from the Geek Squad saying they were charging my account $99.00 for my auto renewal 3/4/2011. They didn't get me because I knew it was a scam. As others have said the email looks official.

Was advised “your Peleton order will be processed if you ignore this call.”

Without divulging my name or any info, I left a message advising I was reporting this number to the fraud division of my bank.

What exactly do you think that the "fraud division" of your bank can do about calls from this phone number?
