- Lisa Masse| 1 replyJust received a phone call from a man with an Indian accent calling from 1-800-333-7883. He told me he was calling me because I own a Windows laptop and I have downloaded "the virus". I asked what company he was from and he told me it was Masse Lisa. He refused to provide his name or the name of the company. I advised him I was on the National DNC list and he kept telling me I had a virus and need to give him certain information. I hung up on him.

- ReggieI just received another call from a man with an Indian accent stating he wanted to fix a problem I had with windows and that he was from microsoft. I have spoken to individuals in the past with the same issue about my computer and told them I was not interested and to take me off their list. I am still getting these annoying phone calls. Is there something anyone can do about this issue that has plagued many of us that are not interested and don't want to be bothered. My curiosity was aroused to call the 800 number of the individual that just called and a recording came on that the line was disconnected. How is this when he just called me? Inquiring minds want to know.

- Bob P.| 1 replyIndia man called representing "Windows" and has called several times to fix a virus problem. We don't get to credit cards or booting the computer, I hang up readily for anything like that. He has argued with my wife and told her she is rude...duh...and has given me a phone number when asked (800 715 684) which can be looked up just as i looked up this number. It is a Czech or Polish number and I didn't bother to call it.
I have gotten so I recognize his voice and will screw with him a little more every time he calls. You should too!- Caller: "Windows"
- MWIndian accent asks you to turn on your computer and identifies himself from Microsoft.
- Caller: "Microsoft"
- Kenelias| 1 replySame story, but I trusted long enough to watch them take over the computer and show me errors in the log file. Talked about renewing the warranty on the software. Told him I'd never heard of such a thing. But step by step, he seemed like he knew what he was talking about. But when he finally asked for $150 to "renew" the warranty on my system software, I politely told him that I was ending the call and hung up. Now I'm edgy thinking I've given him access to my desktop with LogMeIn, and will that connection still be active... Sheesh..!
- OMC| 1 replyJust received a call from this numbet indicating they were from Microsoft and wanted me to log on to my computer because I had a virus. What is this call really about?
- Caller: Microsift
- Simple as dat replies to OMCForeign criminals trying to gain access to your computer, steal personal & financial information, then lock you out of your computer & charge you extortion money (under the disguise of 'repair') for you to get it back.
- AnonymRepeatly the indian guy has called, when told not interested he now calls back and sez" [***] off".Obviously the fcc needs to step in. Anyone know how to do something about this obvious scam? When you call the number right back its diconnected.
- Caller: ?
- PennyI have gotten the same call twice in two days. Watch out because Microsoft shouldn't see anything in your computer. I think we should contact the FBI or something to stop these people...
- Iguana| 1 replyAs some of the above loggers mentioned this is a scam to get access to your computer so that they try to gain
personal and/or financial information about you. Or in some cases block your your computer from being used
unless you pay them a ransom. Like Bob. P. mentioned I like to screw with these guys too by playing stupid,
and not understanding their instructions until they get frustrated and mad and they hang up on me.- Caller: Claims Microsoft support
- C. LovellI keep getting call from some lying individual, who says they want to fix a "virus" on my pc....I tell them they are cheating scammers, and to not call back on me.....they hang up on me.

- JackieI received a call from this number on 5/30/15 at about 1:45 pm. It was a man with an Indian accident who said I had a virus on my windows computer. He said he was from Microsoft. He directed me to my error log and said he had received the same log and that is how he knew there was a problem (yes I was naïve and went along with him for a while). He directed me to a website (red flags!) which did not look legit and told me to download something, which is when I definitely knew there was a problem. I asked for his name and a callback number - "Zach," employer ID - 11A2. Call back number - 505-615-7896 (Albuquerque). Very strange.
